Hello - I’m starting to understand that intention is really the root of a good spell. I have been working with some very basic spells. And to me they make sense. My question is - is that enough? Do i need a magical beginning and sign off? Do i need special words? Or my words are good enough?

Your words, your depth of feeling, your intentions are good enough. You got this!
Have you found some you like to use? Then use them.
Magical beginnings set the stage, get you to feel more intensely, and can help focus your attention. Sign offs can offer a space where you can release the energy and close any doors you may have felt the need to open for the spell. They each have their place as tools, but are not absolutely necessary for every spell.
Attempt some you feel drawn to and see how you feel while using them. Explore and keep records of what you like and don’t like. These explorations are the basis for a book of mirrors.

Hi MewMew! You’ve already gotten some great advice from Georgia - I’m going to second what she said about trusting your gut. There are many methods of casting and unless you’re following a strict tradition there are no “right” or “wrong” answers - it’s all about finding and doing what feels right for you.
It sounds like your spells are going well! That’s awesome. If it’s working, keep doing it! And if you find a new method or decide to try something else in the future, that’s okay too 
If you’re interested in experimenting with other ways of casting, you could try casting with a circle. It’s a protective method and small ritual done before (opening the circle) and after (closing the circle) your main ritual.

Hi, thanks for the advice. I have followed some, but then i forget the exact words so i just kind of go with the intension. I do feel they are working tho. And i am big into the candles and anointing.

You are allowed to have a written copy with you to read from while you cast, if you want to use one. If you don’t want one, you’re fine that way, too. The magick is within you, not in the words themselves. I know that goes counter to stories from 1001 Nights, with which we all grew. However, this is Your life, Your story. Make it the best for you!

It is sooo about intent!! Not, how many times you say your “hail mary” or spin clockwise…. You are doing just great!!! The cosmos appreciates your effort more than the finished product. I write most of my own, and if I cannot remember exactly, that’s okay, because, the intent is still in my words. You are able to do the same.

Using the words that come to your mind in that moment is perfectly fine!! 
And as @georgia said, you can write it all down and read it! I´m loving all my Grimoires and have my spells collected in a “Book of Spells”, which I will then lay on my altar and read from, when I´m doing spellwork. There´s no rule that you have to know everything by heart.
