I’ve been a witch for a long time. My craft has always been a huge mix but recently I re-found my calling as a stitch witch not just with my sewing but with my knitting and Crocheting. I rekindled my love for crochet and knitting thanks to a new set of hooks that fit in my hands and cause no pain. But the nail on the head was a wonderful Birthday gift, A book called the Crochet Witch by RJ Montgomery. I would love to know how many other Stitch witches we have here in the group. I’d love to hear about how everyone works it in there craft.
That’s awesome @LadyDennaRahl! I used to do quite a bit of stitching between hand sewing small spell pouches and then, when I had a sewing machine, making little sleep sachets. My focus moved to other projects and I haven’t done much stitching for a while now. However, I know there are folks here in the forum who share your talents for handling string, yarn, and other stitch witch materials!

I’ll be watching along and learning from the Stitch Witches. Happy crafting!
I am just a beginner to all of this. Stitch witchery sounds very interesting. I do a small amount of sewing, mostly just small mending jobs like patches and buttons. I’m sure you will find other stitch witches here to connect with.
Good luck and have a blessed day
If you are interested there are a few books like sew witchy, the crochet witch, fiber craft that will get you started in understanding the art of stitch witchery. The embroidery, and other stitches used in the craft.
Thank you so much! I am vey interested ![]()
@LadyDennaRahl hello and merry meet!
I´m Katharina from Vienna, Austria! We haven´t talked yet, I guess. I´m fairly new to the forum.
I´m a granny square crochet addict and every evening I´m “hooked”. I think crochet is a perfect opportunity to whisper some spells into the stitches. I´m whispering protection spells, when I´m crocheting beanies for my child, or spells for love and warmth when I´m making squares for blankets or scarves.
When my child was little, I made a colorful poncho and told her, that I had crocheted a kiss into every stitch.
To this day (she is 15 now) does she remember, and insists, that this was the warmest, comfiest piece of clothing she ever had. ![]()
As an art witch I´m absolutely convinced that we can put our loving energy and intention into the things we create for our loved ones!
That is part of the joy with stitch craft in witchcraft its a form of knot magic. done well its historically extremely strong
Hi! I am a very crafty witch too. I sew, knit, weave, crochet, embroider, spin, tat, and make bobbin lace. There are a few witchy sewing books I am looking at, but the crochet one seems interesting too. Thanks for sharing.
I love this! I crochet and so happy to hear that there are other stitch witches. I just ordered two patterns on Etsy. One is the Moon Goddess and the other is the Moon Phases. Can’t wait to buy the yarn and get started. I just finished crocheting bookmarks for all the family for the holiday. Happy Yule my friends! Moon Goddess![]()
I used to do a lot of sewing, beadwork, cross stitching, crocheting, making Halloween outfits, making purses, applique, rug making, and a bit of weaving. Haven’t done much lately because of a lack of a sense of safety- as in having to move more often than I’d like. I did save pieces for a potential quilt.
I love crocheting!
I’ve been crocheting for a long time, and I have incorporated my craft into my fiber arts many times! I’ve had to take a crochet break recently due to a shoulder issue, but I’m itching to pick my hook back up lol I’m working on a baby blanket for a friend of mine!
Merry Morning,
I recently restarted my crochet
(over 30 yrs), as a way to get away from all the electronics. I “meditate” as I crochet so the thoughts/purpose go into the stitches. I haven’t decided if this will be an altar cloth or a tarot deck bag. Just something really easy.![]()

Megan,
What colors/design for the blanket?
The baby is gonna “love” it because s/he will be wrapped in your love.![]()

It’s a pink and purple starburst shape that will double as a drawstring bag!
This is the pattern: Free Easy Bernat Convertible Blanket Bag Crochet Pattern | Yarnspirations
Wow, lovely. Way beyond my scope…I’m just small squares and then stitch them together….![]()
Beautiful!!! Lady Gene

Ahh, I’m sure you could manage! It’s just double crochet stitches increasing in a specific way to give it the shape it has
You can do it!
I appreciate the vote of confidence
One of the most basic ways a stitch witch embodies their craft is by embroidery. Runes and other symbols stitched into hidden locations of shirts pants, and many other places.
