Suggestions for acceptance spells?

i need to do a spell to allow myself to accept how life will play out, especially with relationships. any suggestions?

Hi @aster!

I hope you don’t mind that I upgraded your question to a space of its own. Sometimes questions can become buried in the comments of other threads, so hopefully this will help your question get the attention it deserves :blush:

It’s not a spell exactly (although it could be combined with one!) but I recommend meditation for this. Meditation helps open the mind to new possibilities and see things from a broader perspective. It can help release the feeling of being trapped in short term worries and see a more stable path in the long term.

If you’re new to meditation, the Beginner Meditation Course has a collection of ten easy meditations about different areas to focus on. The meditations are guided, so all you have to do is sit back, relax, and follow along. I recommend giving them a try - I hope they help bring you peace!

Another suggestion (that may not work for everyone!) is to put your trust in a higher power. This can be any thing or any one you feel is guiding your path. It may be a deity, the Universe, a guardian angel, fate, or even future versions of yourself. Trusting that this being or force is helping you can provide strength when times get tough. Life has challenges of all types, but believing in a higher guiding power can help us overcome them and continue on our way to being our best selves.

Just a few ideas on the table for you. I hope that things play out positively for you - wishing you only the best :heart:

Blessed be

I saw your question earlier. Sorry for not saying anything at the time. I have trouble with this one too at times.

One thing I learned about dealing with other people is to tell myself it’s none of my business if they like me or not. Their opinions of me are theirs, not mine. If someone likes me, I’m allowed to enjoy the attention while I can. My only responsibility is to be myself.

@aster

It is a difficult question to answer. It depends if you are experiencing emotions you have not come across within yourself before or with close people who have seen a significant change. I would recommend as @BryWisteria has advised start with Meditation.

If it is someone close it can be hard for them as they do not understand and ask questions as they are worried. There is what is known as Stoicism it is over 2000 years old which begun in Ancient Greece. Stoic Philosophy basically means that the only thing you can control is yourself, you cannot change what other people think or do it is up to that person I am afraid. I have embraced this approach to everyday life and have learned that stress comes from trying to control and manage things that aren’t in our control or in our power like other people’s moods, what might happen tomorrow, what someone might think, or what I should have done.

An example of this was on Monday my Bus to work did not turn up it was heavy rain and I was stood with my umbrella there was no bus shelter and I was getting soaked. I checked my Travel APP to check live updates of the bus there was none. I could have chosen to loose it got angry and stressed but instead I walked back home thinking at least my working day is going to be shorter. I could spend another 45 minutes with my dogs and get another hot drink.

I hope this helps.

Hi @aster :waving_hand:t5::hugs:

I just wanted to reach out - your post resonated with me, and I hope you won’t mind a little advice based on my experiences and those of former clients.

This is not something one can just do - when you’ve spent decades thinking a certain way, behaving a certain way, it’s ingrained in your mind, body and soul… it will not change overnight. But what can change overnight is the mindset - choosing to take it moment by moment, to allow yourself the slip-ups (which will come) so you don’t blame yourself if you do slip-up. Please note, the change will usually be hard (just like everything that is worth doing), which is why many of us choose to believe in a higher power as Bry said.

I would also recommend meditation, whether it’s guided or not; I used to dislike guided meditations until I found the right ones for me, so don’t be afraid to explore to find what works for you.

It may help you to think of it in terms of a daily quest, not for peace or quiet, but for serenity; that feeling when everything around you could be on fire but you’re totally in the zen mode and unbothered by it. For example, every morning after I say my thanks, I say my version of the Reiki principles:

Today, I will try not to worry.

Today, I will try not to be angry.

Today, I will be true to myself and others.

Today, I will be grateful for my many blessings.

Today, I will love all living things… and myself.

It gives me a moment to focus and ground myself, and I guess it’s kind of like a daily promise to myself because I’m not trying to be better than anyone else, I’m just trying to be a better me. And part of that was letting go of the things I cannot control, and just leave it to The Light. For example, I was on the bus with my daughter on the way to school, and one of the mums commented that I was always so calm in the mornings and she didn’t understand how I did it. I told her it’s the idea that what will be, will be; no amount of stressing would make the bus go any faster, or change the traffic lights. As long as I’ve done what I can do, then the rest is not up to me so I just try to relax and go with the flow; besides, in 20 years no one will care how punctual my daughter was at primary school!

Also, don’t forget that a little anxiety and/or curiosity about one’s life is not abnormal, and there will be times in life when you might wonder about it - we all do. But if you feel that it’s intruding on your enjoyment of life, then take it one moment at a time and be a little kinder to yourself… you’re still fabulous, whether you’re single or not!

With Love & Light x

My pleasure, Aster! :heart:

As someone who also deals with anxiety, I know it can be a challenging burden to bear. But having the desire to manage it in positive ways is a huge step forward! There are a lot of wonderful suggestions shared by the coven here, so explore around and I hope you find some methods that work well for you. Good luck, Aster! :two_hearts:
