Taper candle uses and spell work?

I have a bunch of black taper candles which I initially bought for home decoration but I’d like to use them for spell work, rituals, etc., however, I don’t know any that would make use of them. I would love some suggestions! Thank you so much!

It’s generally used for banishing and protection. I light a black candle every Saturday. But anytime you want to do a spell for banishing would be a good time to use a black candle. Or for dark goddesses, like Hecate, Morrigan, and Circe.

Or if you just like black! It’s all up to you! Good luck!

I usually use chime candles but tapers also work well?

Thank you, would having them burn longer be any different than using a chime candle?

Only if your spell wants the candle to burn all the way down. You might need to wait a while or cut the candle down before you start. I like black candles - tapered or not.

Sure! You can use taper, pillar, or even birthday candles. It’s all good! I have a mixture of black chime candles and black tea candles.

Back when I used taper candles exclusively, I had a variety of colors. I used them to represent the elements. Remember, black can be the existence of all colors or the lack of all colors. As an element, it can represent Spirit or within. Black candles are great for veil work, accessing the ancestors or honoring those who have passed. Divination can be assisted with a black candle, especially mirror work. In the dark, the flame seems to float.

Enjoy your candles! I always did, when I had access to them.
