Wow- all six lines across both poems touch on the many different facets of this card, and there is a lot to the Eight of Wands! 
This is one of the cards I tend to second-guess when it comes up in a reading. It is about communication, or travel, or passion projects, or movement? This one certainly covers a lot of ground!
