I thought so it kinda smacked me in the face with this realization. locked into the hellish tombs of this world. Known as the body chained with forgetfulness and forced to be subjected to his owndeath.

The tree of knowledge was forbidden because who wants a smart slave. We were allowed to eat of the tree of life which root is bitter it’s branches are dead it’s leaves are deception and the nectar of wickedness is in its blossom it’s fruit is death it’s seed is desire. We were allowed to eat from this tree but not the tree of knowledge. Mind-blowing

I first heard about Gnosticism from a Carl Jung book, but have yet to get round to properly learning about it. Morgue is an interesting character, but aside from his cool sense of fashion, i’m not totally sure what to make of him and was wondering if anyone can recommend any other introductions to this “version of events”, for comparison (just as one might compare stories from multiple opposing news sources (The Telegraph vs The Guardian for example) to get a perspective on the different opinions) ?
