We used to have both Oscars and cichlids when I was younger. Oscar ending up huge and had to be put in its own tank. One of the cichlids jumped out of the tank and we didn’t find him until the next morning. I moved to less aggressive fish after that and had an angelfish that Trento about five or six inches from tip of tail to bottom tip of tail.

I loved Dad’s Oscars, they were aggressive but left with no "victims
