A soft & quiet spell for surrendering to rest

What you’ll need (optional, intuitive):

  • A candle - Blue
  • A small bowl of water or an amethyst crystal by your bed
  • Your breath
  • Your willingness to let go – to just be
  • If you light a candle, do so now. If not, simply imagine one glowing in the darkness behind your eyes.

DO NOT FALL ASLEEP WITH THE CANDLE BURNING!

If you CAN NOT guarantee you will stay awake DO NOT light ANY candle. Fire safety first, witches!!!

Begin

Settle into your bed. Let the day loosen its grip on you. Close your eyes and place one hand over your heart, one over your belly.

Take a slow breath in through your nose…and exhale through your mouth, like you’re fogging a mirror.

Again. In…and out.

Feel your body hearing the signal. Really tune into the breath…tune into the body…tune into the rythmn of the breath.

The Spell

In a soft voice, or silently, say: “By moon and shadow, by breath and bone, I call my spirit gently home. The day is done, its work complete, I lay my worries at my feet.

Thoughts may drift like clouds on air, I do not chase them anywhere. What is not needed fades from sight, Wrapped in the beauty of this night.

Muscles soften. Jaw releases. The mind unwinds. The body eases.I am safe. I am allowed
to rest beneath the darkened shroud.

Sleep, now come with quiet grace, Settle in this sacred space. Until the dawn begins to stir,
I rest. I dream. I remember her.”

(The “her” can be you, your higher self, the Moon, or the deep wisdom within.)

Closing

Take one final breath in. Long and slow.Then let it fall away.

If your mind wanders, imagine each thought being gently placed into the bowl of water beside you—held safely until morning.

Snuff the candle out…or see it dim in your mind.

You don’t need to fall asleep. You only need to stop holding yourself awake.:blush:
