Not done one of these for a while but…its Libra Season, a time for appreciating aesthetics and all that is refined. Therefore, for my new “zodiac signs as…” i have chosen to embody the signs as famous works of art. I loved art at school and enjoyed looking at the paintings to extract some sort of meaning from them. Therefore, i found making this just as enjoyable and thought provoking.
Remember its just a bit of fun and may not fully represent “you”. After all, you are more than just your Sun Sign.
Pretty good. I like the description of the School of Athens better than the painting! And the painting is really good. I can easily imagine all my favorites, there, even though they did not live at the same time.
Happily, The Scream is fading in my life at last. It’s been affecting me 5 years, now. May the Scream rest in peace.
This is absolutely brilliant - what a fun way to explore the zodiac signs!
As soon as I saw the title I was curious which famous paintings would be matched with signs, and I was not disappointed. There are quite a few here I recognize, and a few that are new to me. I really like “The Wanderer Above the Sea of Fog” - what a beautiful piece! It’s a new favorite
The Scream Water Lilies The Two Fridas
I can see how each one fits! The descriptions for each are very persuasive
Thank you so much. Glad you enjoyed it. It has been a while since my last one and i really enjoy doing them. I especially enjoyed this one because art is hobby of mine and it just made sense to link it with the aesthetic of Libra.
Perhaps for scorpio season ill do divination types or horror movies lol.
I figured it would either be this one or The Starry Night by Van Gogh I love this painting, too! I feel like it’s actually a pretty good representation of how deeply and intensely a Scorpio Sun can feel their emotions, all of them.
It’s interesting because every color in the painting can represent a different emotion or type of emotion. Reds for anger and passion, blues for sadness and melancholy, yellows for joy and happiness, black for depression and apathy, and so on. I’ve never been much of an art appreciator but when I take the time to look at the pieces more closely I can definitely see the meaning behind the image.
Thank you for putting this one together @Cosmic_Curiosity once again, you have described my Sun Sign perfectly!
::Quietly pulls out her copy of “Cosmic Curiousities” to figure out what the third big three is::
I have Sunflowers in my and The Birth of Venus in my … and I’ll let you know on that third as soon as I figure out what it is from this cool book I picked up!
