I had some visitors grace my home today. Can anyone tell me what any witchy or spiritual meaning could be behind these animals? I think the bird is a crow?
Crows are attracted to Witches! Usually a Crow is a symbol of a messenger from the other side. Is there someone who you lost recently or semi-recently whom you were close too?
Squirrels are very playful animals! A brown Squirrel is about balance. A brown Squirrel teaches you to be in the present moment.
Great pictures btw!
I am a Spiritual Healer btw too.
Love this so much! No one that I lost recently, but I really enjoy little visitors like that. Love that you are a spiritual healer too. So nice to meet you as well.
It is so nice to meet you too sweetie. Is there anything going on in your life right now! Are you trying to manifest something? If you are, the message is green light, GO FOOOOOORRRRR ITTTTT! The crow is here to help you along the way!
Wow. Wonderful neighbors you have! Just an aside, the crow or raven is usually a bird associated with the goddess The Morrigan, of the Irish Tuatha de Danann. She is a goddess associated with battle, death, magic and witchcraft along with sovereignty.
She’s a rather popular goddess, so you will probably find a lot of books and sites about her. She’s badass! LOL! Maybe meditate and see if she has a message for you?
For the deer, I would go with the Greek Artemis, or her counterpart, the Roman Diana.
As for the squirrel, well, the only person I can think of is the Marvel hero Squirrel Girl. She may sound like a low-ranking hero, but he’s beaten Doom and Thanos! LOL!
Okay, seriously, in Norse mythology, there’s a squirrel in the World Tree Yggdrasil called Ratatoskr. His name is about all I know, though; there’s not much about him on Wikipedia. I really have to brush up on my Norse Mythology soon.
Anyhow, I hope this gives you some ideas!
Aww thank you so much for sharing these awesome resources with me. I really love having all these animals so close by. I will give these a read. Thanks again!
You’re welcome! I can never tell the difference between a raven and a crow. I’ve read the thing on how to Tell Crows and Ravens Apart, but the little buggers never stay still long enough or get close enough for me to look at them!
Good luck!
I love this! The deer is all about GRACE, INTUITION! Also, possibly new beginnings!
I am seeing a trend here sweetie. In addition to what my lovely Dear Heart @Amethyst says! I think that perhaps a Goddess could be trying to connect with you. I also think that you are being told to enjoy life right now as it is! I think that you are also being told that there is a new beginning right around the corner for you! Just listen to your intuition/your heart and see what comes to you and you will find all the answers, but have fun too, prance with grace like the deer! Make sure that you do it playfully like the squirrel and make sure that you listen to messages from the other side too!
Great pictures, @brandi! The one of the squirrel made me smile - they’re very cute mid-run
You’ve already got some great advice about animal spiritual meanings. If I can add to your collection of resources, there’s a guide about bird omens and ways to read their visits here:
The free Omens From Birds printable page in the guide above has the following for crow:

Blessed be!
He is pretty cool. Sort of a Loki + Huginn/Muninn (Odin’s birds of communication). He is a rascal that stirs the pot and tells secrets from the top of Yggdrasil to the roots. Actually, really squirrel-like.
I love getting shots of wildlife but crows are particularly difficult. Their black makes them hard to distinguish and they seem to sense when I zero in on them.
Squirrels on the other hand will come out and chatter at me if I wait a while. They like to give strangers a hard time. I have tons of funny pictures of them.
