Short version: My downstairs neighbor had a leak in her ceiling so the HOA sent their contractors out to track down the leak. Knock on my door. Come in and find the leak is in my living room wall. Tear our my brand new flooring and knock out a huge section of my wall and kitchen cabinet. The HOA says I’m responsible for repairing my home. I want clarity in the situation and for the HOA to take responsibility for the demolition of my home. Is this a time for protection? Banishment? Throwing up my hands and swearing (actually I’ve already been doing that). HELP?!
Oh wow
The first thing I would do is read through your HOA paperwork to see if it says anything about your situation. It doesn’t make any sense to me that they could come into your home, destroy things, and then not repair the damage they did, even if the damage was caused to repair something else.
As far as magical working, protection would be a good first step. You may want to do some prosperity work or something to get to the truth of the matter.
I agree with @MeganB - pull out all the HOA Bylaws. There has to be something in there about homeowner responsibility for water or other damages.
If it seems confusing or contradictory, or not really addressing YOUR personal situation, I’d contact at Real Estate attorney. Get an appointment ASAP and sit down with them and your HOA paperwork. You might be out a consultation fee, but if there’s a way to fight back it could save you a lot more in the long run.
A protection spell would certainly help, as well. Good luck!
Hi there! I’ve never had to deal with an HOA, thank gods, but I do think you should do something for justice. To make sure things are being seen fairly. But that’s just my opinion.
