135 - Weekly Witchy Challenge - The Fortune Teller’s Game
CHALLENGE ENTRY-GARNET
When I rolled the die I got the number 3, a “Potion Brewer” Challenge
I thought of what I could make for this challenge. 
I considered a beauty potion, but I firmly believe that beauty comes
from the inside, not the outside.
Besides, superficial beauty goes away with time and life.
Back to the drawing board
I started my process gleefully rubbing my hands together…Mawahaha (maniacal laughter). hair color with homemade ingredients?
But am I that brave or that bold? I looked up the potion in my “way back” recipe book, Then slammed it closed and screamed!
My frightened hair was standing on end!
If I put that 
on my head and I’ll go bald.
OH, Jeez,
I was looking under young men - revenge!

Homemade Vanilla?
Again I consulted my way-back book
and found a recipe I got from an old lady in St.Thomas
in the Bahamas 
in the 60s and the recipe is so old that you could make
it into flavor or fragrance.
Easy peasy! vanilla extract /perfume
6 vanilla beans cut in half the long way
Scrape out beans & set aside
1 cup of vodka
Put them all together and store
in a dark cool place shaking on and off.
It only takes 2 months… Whoa!!!
Well, 
:again! I only have a week. Sigh…

Potion, potions? Think about potions.
Well, first you must decide what the potion is for. There are TONS of options, Water-Based Preparations (infusions, decoctions,), Alcohol-Based Preparations (* ETOH with herbs in a glass jar) allow to make a tincture. Other Herbal Preparations using vinegar or glycerine, don’t work as well as alcohol but make an ok sub.
Syrups such as elderberry or pinecone jam are throat soothing and immune system boosting. You can also make preparations like salves and poultices.
Remember, Antibiotics are a reasonably recent discovery and Some organisms are already resistant to the ‘superbugs’. **ABIC-resistant IE; such as Mersa (methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus. [bad, bad business])Pardon the pun but too broad spectrum…

Ah Ha! magick waters,
I think I’ll make some
Florida water. (and not from water from Florida)
1 cup vodka “Thank gosh for vodka”
1 orange peel (or lemon peel)
1 lemon peel
8 to 10 drops of your [essential oil]s I like lavender, lemon,
bergamot, and ylang-ylang)
a handful full of mint is always nice.
1 cinnamon stick (optional)
Combine in a glass container, label, and seal. let sit a full lunar cycle
Florida water can be a way to make the ceremony even more powerful.

Oooo guys I’m down a serious rabbit hole looking up and creating potions! 
I’ve spent the past hour and I have pages worth of recipes to try out! Guess I’m starting with tomorrow morning making the first one.
