What are some good books on baneful or poisonous herbs?

Massive warning for mentions of abuse and control
I have a friend who was being abused by her boyfriend, less physical, more controlling and possessive, it has caused her lots of stress, to the point of having nightmares. I am going to clean my temporary altar to pop in a few prayers, but since today’s Saturday. Also, maybe some spell ideas. I want to explore my craft a lot more and learn to work with more baneful herbs. Maybe some less baneful, but more underrated ones too.

What’s crazy is that what set it off is that someone, unintentionally, reminded me of a family member who was also being abused. They played a song he liked at a place I go to. So I wrote some things down on a paper, turned them away (because I wrote two papers on someone else), and then I burned them. The day after, my friend started crying. She told me everything. That she broke up with him for him getting jealous of her talking to another guy friend. I am as receptive as I can be to signals so I knew something was going to happen, I gave her some chamomile tea that I had for her stress.

I need some good karma spells to teach him that I don’t mess around. Something to give him a light warning, a metaphorical kick in the teeth.

I’m sorry you’re friend is going through this. I don’t know much about baneful herbs, but I do know that one of the best resources on herbs in general is Cunningham’s Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs by Scott Cunningham. It’s awesome!

As for a good karma spell or hex, not sure about those either but I loved the book by Dorothy Morrison called Utterly Wicked: Hexes, Curses, and Other Unsavory Notions . It’s been a while since I read it, over a year maybe, but it’s got some great stuff in it that might help you out.

You may also want to do a good cord cutting spell, so she doesn’t feel pulled back.

Good luck! I hope this helps!

I think this is the book wherein I learned of the symptoms of a vitamin A overdose. Log in to read the whole book.
