What are your best tarot hacks?

We all know, that tarot is a pretty versatile tool, right. Doing a variety of spreads and interpreting them is only one way to work with them.

So, what are your best tarot hacks? For learning, practicing, for empowerment…let´s make this fun!

I love the hack, where you will find a specific card in your deck and take the card that comes before and after as the information on the subject.
For example, for getting the vibe about a decision that has to be made. I will shuffle my deck with the question or decision in mind. Then I will go through the deck while looking at the images, card by card until I will find the Two of Swords. The card that comes before the Two of Swords tells me one outcome, the card behind it tells me the outcome of the second choice.

For getting insight about your love interest, you can do the same but find the Lovers card. The card before tells you what is blocked, the card after the Lovers tells you the potential.

I´m curious to learn about your techniques and hacks! :purple_heart:

A pretty good method for shadow work came to my mind.

Go through your whole deck, card by card, watch your emotional response. Sort those out, where you noticed a more negative response.
These are the ones you can best use for your shadow work.

Katharina,

I really like that idea…so simple, so easy, yet so telling…:divination_crystal_ball: Lady Gene :magic_wand: :flower_playing_cards:

Here is something I´m doing occasionally for important meetings etc. where I want to present myself a certain way. I guess you could say, this is connected to glamour magick.

Take your tarot deck, shuffle it and pull three cards:

  1. Advice on what to wear
  2. Advice on hair and make-up
  3. Acvice on jewellery

You can let only the images inspire you or take some of the symbols and meanings into consideration, too.

That’s a great one!

I don’t know if it’s a tarot hack as much as a creative writing hack, but I like to use tarot cards (especially the major arcana) to help build characters. I wrote a bit more about methods in this post. It’s a fun way to use the cards!

Love this - what a fun way to let the cards help guide fashion decisions! I may give this a try  :+1:

What a fun idea! I´ve read the thread and it´s very interesting. I´m not a writer, but I can see how this would help build interesting characters with depth.

Inquiring about time periods with tarot

With your question in mind (How long will it take? When will it happen?) shuffle your deck, then pull a card.

Major Arcana: ask again next month
Cups: in spring (the higher the number of cups, the later in spring it will occur )
Wands: in summer (again, the higher the number…)
Pentacles: in fall
Swords: in winter

I’ve bookmarked this as you’ve put a lot of help in here, so thankyou lovely. Tarot is not my forte, runes make more sense as there’s only 24 of them  but this post is going to help, so thankyou.
