What place do y’all feel has the most magickal energy?

I would love to see Stonehenge with my own eyes. I’d love to soak up its energy. It’s been on my bucket list for years.

Would you believe that this Brit has never actually been to Stonehenge?

The closest I have ever been was on the A303, 20-ish years ago, travelling with my mum and dad, and new hubby Eric (at the time, we had just got married).

As we sped along the highway, heading for the West Country, dad nodded his head to the right and said “Stonehenge” and kept driving.

I would love to do a tour of the UK, taking in sites like Stonehenge, Avebury etc.

@Greenbriar - It’s not too surprising - like so many Americans don’t visit the Grand Canyon, or such sites. When you live in the same country, maybe it feels less precious, or something?

Avebury is on my list, too - easier to plan for, much more approachable. A different experience, but I can’t imagine it wouldn’t be as magickal! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Paganism and witchcraft are not big around here, so I´m having the place more or less to myself most of the times.
But it´s a cutle little circle and the Danube flows by very close, so it´s possible to go down to the water, connect with Danu and do rituals directly at the water. That´s nice.

I’d love to see Stonehenge, but last year I watched the Summer Solstice from there and it was so boring! There was drumming and stuff but mostly it was tourists, shoulder to shoulder, standing around.

Give me a stone circle in the middle of the forest that no one knows about any day!

That does sound lovely!

Yeah, that would be the last time of year I’d want to go there. Not into crowds!

I took a morning trip out there - we arrived at 9am on a Sunday. There were people there, but nothing like what happens around Solstice! By the time we left in early afternoon, people were really coming in.

Timing is definitely important! Avebury is supposed to be more approachable, and if I ever get the chance I’ll try for another off-time.

Well, not my home doesn’t phase me a bit. I kind of hate my home, I feel like I live with more ghosts than actual people (and there are 7 people in this house!). However, I have to say that, being in Michigan, there are so many places that hold magickal energy. Between the water, the forests, the mountains and the caves and mines, Michigan kind of has a lock on natural energy! However, the most magickal energy I have ever felt was at Ft. Sill in Oklahoma. Shortly after my husband was stationed there, we drove out to the the old cemeteries to see the Apache graves and Geronimo’s grave. The cemeteries are kind of in the middle of the woods, hidden away in the woods. The magickal energy that came from the woods behind me as I stood at Geronimo’s grave was absolutely intense. There was nothing I wanted more than to walk into those woods, but the Army frowns upon people walking in places that they don’t want them walking.

I have been feeling pulled to someplace here in Michigan that has just as much power, I just have no idea where it is. I just know that something is telling me to get ready to sell my properties and move somewhere that is going to be absolutely perfect!

Avebury sounds much nicer! When I watched that video I thought they have someone leading a prayer or drumming or something. But nothing but crowds! I was disappointed. I’m glad I didn’t go in person, I would have been mad.

I hate how commercialization spreads like rot. Sacred places should remain sacred and be respected. Not turn into a tourist attraction. In my opinion. Respectfully.

Yeah, that is so true.

Austria is my home and I love it. Vienna of course is the main point of interest for any visitors, but the country side (especially Styria) is really magical. We have a national park there, called the “Gesäuse” with may hiking and camping opportunities (wild camping is prohibited though and our “Förster” (=park rangers) make no exceptions. I´ve read about a french couple who had to pack up in the middle of the night and was escorted to the border by police, because they made a fire in a forest. Plus, they had to pay a fine of course. ) I would say, if anyone wanted to get a feel how Austria was in the time of celtic and germanic tribes, visit this part. It is ridicoulosly beautiful and mythical.
