:exploding_head: as someone who fairly recently has been able to eat again & actually be hungry :tada: I went through the thread again at first to see if there were any new to me dishes I would try, but there’s so many :laughing:

I recently, or fairly recently, had a significant increase in my appetite :confetti_ball: To regain lost weight, a friend well 1 friend & 1 cousin in 1 way or another have been talking to me about smoothies. Something I really never considered for regaining weight/muscle. In my head they were always some kind of novelty drink or something of a milkshake or weight loss or more :thinking: trendy & expensive (that’s because of the amount of smoothie shops we have here that are not exactly affordable for the average person daily, based on location & the tourism/visitors here)

I also had no idea what to put in a smoothie to have it taste yummy :yum: I now have a small NutriBullet (1 person) & a full size blender. I’ve also gotten some amazing recipes from my friend, learned about additions that will increase different nutrients from my friend & cousin, plus from some basic new to smoothies recipes & have been able to expand them & other ingredients.

Now, 1 of my original 5 binders for my practice is all smoothie recipes :rofl: Complete with tips & tricks for substitutions & additions that won’t alter the flavor much if at all but pack a punch!

It’s also gotten me to have things that before the last few weeks, I had never tried or tried but never had again. As well as things that I haven’t had in quite some time because I’m the only person here thatvever ate them :rofl:

This is the trick. :laughing: There are some things with such a bad reputation for tasting terrible, but combined with the right things and in the right amounts, they’re no longer an issue. I think it’s great. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: I managed to get a friend to drink kale this way. He didn’t believe there could possibly be kale in it. :laughing:

I’m glad it’s working out for you. I’ve been there with the eating struggle, and sometimes liquid is the only thing that be endured. :people_hugging: :black_heart:

Yes! I’ve never had an issue with spinach, but I’m also the only 1 that will eat it most of the time, unless I am able to make something & no one sees me use it. Kind of that way with a lot of things :rofl: But spinach & kale are 2 that I add when I can. Avocado is another one.

I just made 1 with :thinking: (I literally just made it, think I can remember what’s in it?)

Ah… Milk, cottage cheese, cauliflower, strawberries, banana, plant protein powder, flaxseed, chopped walnuts, vanilla extract &… something. Tastes like strawberry banana though! & since I’ve starting having 1 - 2 a day plus my yogurts, dinner, dessert, & snacks throughout the day, I’ve put back on 2+ pounds since :thinking: February… 8th? Which is really good & exciting :star_struck: for me!

Now I’m constantly finding fruits, nuts, veggies to add to them even if they aren’t already in the recipe :rofl:

(Also I don’t know how many times I’ve said to my husband that I’m not going to pay so much for a smoothie that is geared toward not necessarily losing weight but uses things for trendy or people eating low fat or whatever & the tourists/visitors so they are high end prices when I need the different fats, proteins, etc. Plus don’t have the $$ for those prices so its cheaper for me to make them at home :house_with_garden: :joy:)

My partner makes a wonderful baby spinach salad with apples, toasted pine nuts, cranberries, and a whole bunch of other things.

Best salad I’ve ever had. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: And good for the third-eye chakra, I hear.

This irks my butt off. :laughing: And trendy diets that aren’t really based off anything, but happen to work because they make someone actually stop and think about what they’re eating… However, try telling someone on such a diet that. :woman_facepalming: They think it’s literally magick. But it goes against magick. Magick isn’t waving a wand and having all our problems solved.

Everyone here is constantly learning, going through the difficult tasks of doing inner work and outer work, and bettering themselves at every step. It’s not easy and it’s not quick. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: Everyone’s going through the effort and seeing the rewards because of it, not eating a grapefruit and waking up skinny the next day. Gosh. :laughing:

We struggle with spinach too. Only way we eat it is mixed into a lettuce :leafy_green: or mixed into a smoothie

I’ve just ate bangers and mash. Sorry no picture, all eaten, but it was yum :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: And I Iove spinach.

My favourite smoothie, is keffer, cucumber, spinach honey whizzed. Yum.
