White Chocolate Christmas Popcorn
Yield: 6 cups
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Additional Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 40 minutes
Ingredients:
6 cups popcorn (already popped)
½ cup white candy wafers
2 cup M&Ms (green and red)
1.5 oz pretzels
1 tsp red sprinkles
1 tsp green sprinkles
Directions:
Cover a baking tray with parchment paper and lay out the popped popcorn.
Break up half of the pretzels and spread both the broken and whole pieces of pretzel over the popcorn.
Spread out the M&Ms over the popcorn. You can also set some aside to sprinkle on at the end if you want them to show through better in the completed mix.
Melt the candy wafers in a microwave-safe bowl on 50% power in 30-second intervals. Stir after each interval until the candy is melted and smooth.
Drizzle the melted candy wafers over the popcorn mix, then add the sprinkles and toss everything to make sure the ingredients stick to each other and are well coated.
Allow to cool and harden and enjoy!
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Notes:
While this recipe can be stored for longer, I recommend eating it within a few days as popcorn tends to go stale quickly.
Experiment with different flavored candy melts like mint, chocolate, vanilla or peppermint, or try adding in other sweet treats like crushed candy canes, marshmallows or mini candy canes.
You can also easily use this recipe to create festive popcorn for other holidays and special events. Just swap out the colors of M&M’s and sprinkles!
