Hello and welcome @susan3 I’m Tracy from England. My practice is Nordic witchcraft, runes and demonolatry. My patron deity is Loki. So that’s me in a nutshell, Hiya.

What is your practice lovely? If we are talking about getting over fear, is that fear of witchcraft, entities, spirit, magic, spells? I find knowledge works. When you learn about what you’re afraid of, it’s normally no longer so scary.

There are lots of courses here on spells8 on the main site and this coven has witches from pretty much every tradition that are more than happy to help, so make yourself at home.

Merry Meet Susan

I just wanted to welcome you.

It is perfectly natural to doubt everyone does and not everything is successful. When we read how to cast a spell we might do something out of order then doubt can sink it. Do what you feel is right for you.

I am from a small village in Lancashire, England. :united_kingdom:

I am an Eclectic Hedgewitch and my divinations are the 5 Elements which I incorporate into daily life. I am drawn to the Moon in particular but also align with the Sun, Planets, Astrology, Crystals, Candle Magic, Tarot, Anglo-Saxon/Runes, Angel Numbers, Lenormand, tending outdoor, indoor plants and growing herbs, garlic, I write and create my own spells which is both exciting and rewarding for spell jars, spell bags and looking at different ways and methods of forming new spells, I drink Sun & Moon Water daily, shower meditation as this fits easily into my daily routine and self/home cleansing adding instant magic where I can. I am doing the daily Oracle Cards which is my new go to.

I try to simplify, balance and live intentionally to create a calm, peaceful, relaxing home for my family, two German Shorthair Pointer Dogs. Millie & Bronte and our Koi Fish. I also practice Slow Down Living and listen to Witches Celtic Music which aligns beautifully.

Everyone is very supportive, caring and helpful with anything you need it is a wonderful coven to be a part of.

Super Saturday Susan,

Let me start by saying…Welcome to the pack :wolf:!!!

I see from the other posts, that we are telling you what we do/are.

I am a solar, eclectic in Vegas, Baby, Vegas.
Never second-guess yourself. Your first thought, no matter how weird, is usually from the gut, which is Lady Intuition!!!

Trust yourself!! It does not matter what others think!:face_without_mouth: If we lived our lives to others’ expectations, we would have NO life and get NO where.

Do YOU. Here at Spells8, you can!!

Love to see you here, look around the whole site.

Welcome, @susan3 and Merry Meet! We’re so glad you decided to join us. I’m glad you are able to recognize your inner strength, despite second-guessing yourself. It takes practice and a lot of self-care to decide to trust yourself, and feel like you’ll be all right.

It’s a scary world we’re living in these days, and I understand if you feel like it’s just hard to know what the right moves might be for yourself. You did say this:

Look at this - you have already discovered a way to feel better! Now, how can you find a way to do more of this, so you can hold that good feeling longer? Through a job, or maybe volunteering?

Tell us a little bit more about yourself if you’d like. If you’re new to your journey, there is a lot of great information on this site that could help you along the way. It’s meant to be a personal and sacred thing for each of us, but we do share and encourage each other.

You’re in the right place, lovely. You belong here. :sparkling_heart: Many blessings! :sparkles:

Hi, @susan3! I’m Amethyst from Southern West Virginia. Welcome to the forum! :infinite_roots:

I had been pagan, but I hadn’t really cast any spells before I joined this group. I started with the Weekly Challenge and added in the Weekly Ritual, and just doing those little things, in a place of support, has helped me embrace the term witch for myself!

It sound cliched, but it just starts with a single step. Light a candle, make some tea, and see what happens.

This group is here to support you, to help you with any questions you have, and to lift you up! At one point, we all had to start somewhere, and we all were nervous. Only time and practice will help you get over it. And that goes for real-life situations, too!

Good luck! You got this!

Hello and Merry Meet @susan3

My advice for anyone with anxiety or feeling insecure about themselves about their craft will always be: do the little things! It´s better to practice everyday for 2 minutes, than once a week for an hour.

What can one do that only takes 2 minutes?

  • take a deep breath and say: just for this breath, I will not worry.
  • ring a bell or singing bowl, listen to the sound until it fades away
  • pull a tarot or oracle card, take a moment to just take in the image
  • whisper an intention to a crystal and put it into your pocket
  • hold your hand over your favorite piece of jewellery and say: as I go out into the world, protect me from all harm and negativity.
  • choose a piece of clothing with intent, use color magic!
  • put your hands on your belly or chest and send yourself healing energies

Hi! I´m Katharina, an art-witch and art therapist from Vienna, Austria! I´m practicing magick very much through art making! I love altar craft, candle making, poppet work, spell boxes, jars and all kinds of creative magic shenanignas. Working in my Book of Shadows is a big part of my practice. I love all things tarot and practice this art since many moons.

The forum is huge and it takes time to get to know everything. The people here are very sweet and helpful, so just make yourself known if there´s any questions, someone will certainly show up to help you.

Brightest blessings! :dizzy:

Greetings from New Mexico!

Welcome @susan3!

To answer your titular question, yes you will, but it takes work on your part. That’s the hard answer. It gets easier from there.

  1. Look fear squarely in the eye. Fear hates being seen for what it really is.
  2. Take a baby step toward that fear, whatever it is. Do one small thing. I promise, you will survive. You are allowed to duck and cover within seconds of that first step. There may be backlash, but don’t let it stop you.
  3. Rest if you must. Check on your safety net.
  4. Take that next baby step toward the fear. It doesn’t matter how quickly you move, just that you keep moving in the direction facing the fear.
  5. Try to hold yourself still just a bit longer before the next duck and cover.
  6. Gather your courage and step again. Your courage grows with the more you do to face your fear.
  7. Remember that you are not alone. We all go through this. It doesn’t destroy us. You will make it… if you are willing to do what it takes to get through it.
  8. Celebrate the little things! You have earned your success! Use that celebration to give you the positive energy to take the next step.

Hello @susan3 and welcome to Spells 8. We are glad you have joined us. I am Jayne, an eclectic witch living in Texas.

I think many of us have similar fears and self doubts.

Continue with your practice, just small things each day. They don’t have to be big complicated rituals or spells.

Light a candle with Intention.

Imagine your fears and doubts washing away when you take a shower.

A little chant as you stir your tea or coffee - clockwise to draw good energy, anti clockwise to feel bad energy. “May this day bring me the focus and energy I need”.

There’s a lot of information on this website and in the forum. Eventually you will learn to have faith and trust in yourself.

Blessed Be!
