I am reading ‘The Mercies’ by Kiran Millwood Hargrave and I generally keep on searching about the book while reading. I realised that it is based on true events and ‘Vardø witch trial’ took place in Norway around 1622. This is one of the biggest trial happened around that time where almost more than 25 women killed.
