This is so interesting @Francisco. Thank you for the information…

What a great idea! I’m always finding feathers whenever I walk anywhere. And it looks lovely!

This is really interesting- I don’t know much about knot magic! Although I have heard of a knot ceremony during bonding ceremonies (kind of like marriage between partners) where some pagan practices use Handfasting. I would consider this to be a kind of knot magic!

I believe handfasting comes from Celtic traditions and the ceremony looks really beautiful. I am considering doing something similar with my partner, as neither of us want a traditional marriage in a church. This looks like meaningful and beautiful ceremony! :two_hearts:

Limeberry, I like the idea of using a witch’s ladder around a spell jar. Very creative!
I need to make one of these for healing. So much sickness in the world right now.

My nephew and his bride included it in their ceremony… it is beautiful and deeply significant.

I like to do the jar spells, but adding a witch’s ladder seems so much more binding to the spell! I think I am going to look into this more and maybe add them to my jars when I do spell work or rituals!

Yayy!! Very nice ladder, Tamera!

By knot one the spell has begun.

By knot two it’s coming true.

By knot three so mote it be. :sparkles:

Cool stuff. Thanks for all the information Fancisco. And congratulations on successful completion of your ladder Tamera.

I’ve read about covens passing the rope around the circle and different members tying knots and each member adding their own influence to the ladder as a whole. I think even with just two people this would make for a great spell. Not saying its not good alone too of course. So far I’ve done all of my spells alone.

If I don’t have any herbs on hand, can
essential oils be used in their place?

Great question, @susan4!

Essential oils are the drawn-out essence of herbs, so you can absolutely use them as a substitute for fresh/dried herbs :herb:! Just be mindful of any skin sensitivities if you handle them or use them directly on your skin, as the oils are concentrated and are quite strong :+1:

How did I miss this nice three knot chant? I was struggling with John4’s Nine knot chant … my fingers worked better when I was younger… sign… but I got it done … YEA!!!

Knot Magick is so interesting  It’s not something I’ve ever done myself but I do have this friendship bracelet my son made for me on a scout camping trip 4 years ago and I haven’t taken it off in all that time :heartpulse: Weaved and Knotted with Love :heartpulse:

Your son is a talented crafter, @Liisa! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: 4 years is an amazing amount of time for a bracelet to last! It was most definitely made with much love and care to last for so long  :yarn:

He’s is the more creative one in the Family, my Daughter is the sports one and I’m the Witch  It was a much thicker bracelet when I first got it, I’ve had to cut away frays and re-tie it a few times over the years lol I don’t know what ill do when it finally goes? Maybe add it to one of my wands? :heartpulse:

Oh wow- I love that idea! I think the bracelet could make a beautiful adornment on a wand when it’s time as a bracelet has come to an end :+1: . An altar decoration or added to another display (tied around a bundle of dried herbs or flowers perhaps?) could also be good second lives for it :heartpulse:
