Witchy Ways to Decorate a Yule tree

So this popped up in my feed and as I looked at it, I realized our tree was already pretty witchy! I had already bought some decorations made with orange slices, cinnamon sticks etc. and we have pine cones all over the tree.

So I decided to create some little spell and intention scrolls and also a Joy spell sachet.

Love it! I never thought about the dried orange slices, but they look beautiful, and anything calling in sunlight will get my vote. :sun:

Thanks for sharing this and more pics of your lovely tree! Happy Yule!

Oooh! I love this! :eyes: Okay, but, the intention scrolls and the joy spell, do you think that’s going to intermingle with the evergreen presence of the tree? Sort of a “this intention/spell will linger long after the season has passed” kind of thing?

Also, I’ve never dried an orange slice. Are they still fragrant? Because that would be a-mazing. I love Yule smells. :two_hearts:

When I did a spell pouch for the tree last year, after we had taken down the tree, I respectfully buried the herbs I used in the garden. I will do the same this year, and probably the same with the intention scrolls, or safely burn them.

Yes, the orange slices are still fragrant. I will have to either bury them or compost them after Christmas though. They will go moldy up in our Texas attic over the summer.

I love that! There’s a kind of power and intentionality to taking them down, even if the idea/energy stays with you. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Gorgeous! I’d say that is one good-looking and very witchy tree. Making a spell sachet into a hanging ornament is a clever idea!

Thank you for sharing, @Greenbriar - happy Yule! :evergreen_tree: :sparkles:
