I thought to catch up this week with some poetry about cats.
What is it about Cats?
Twinkle, twinkle little Cat,
Did you catch that big brown rat?
I try and give you all that I can
All I get back is a really dirty pan!
Mysterious and without guile,
Like ancient Egyptian cats from the Nile.
Once worshiped as Gods upon the earth
That’s how man showed you, your worth.
Born of a mother loving and sweet.
But she forgot to teach you to be neat!
In time, off the the Vet to Stop your breeding
So not so many mouths do I have to be feeding.
Soft & giving, comfort and really peculiar
Do you think you are my familiar?
My proof! You like my altar if it’s not covered
All the sparkly’s and stones to covet.
You meet me at the door.
You try to trip me on the floor
You rule over the other cats
You wear the only Queen’s hat.
Well, let me tell you Amy Anne,
Sister of Raurk {my son}
I’ve raised that child
And he wasn’t so much work.
PS: One more thing, you terrible roar(er)
Please don’t tell him…but I love you more..
