Witchy wisdom

:rose: My anger be gone, peace and blessings potion :crescent_moon::red_apple:

I felt really drawn by my intuition to make a potion today and just went with what I felt called to do. I wanted to make something with the intention of removing anger from me and my home, bringing peace and kindness around my kids, and helping me connect more with my inner self, my ancestors and spirit.

I added rose petals for love and healing, lavender for peace and calm, an apple to sweeten the energy and bring harmony, thistle seeds for protection and strength, mugwort for intuition and spiritual connection, dandelion for letting go and new beginnings, and lemon balm for happiness and soothing energy. :herb:

I’ve got it simmering away on the pan while putting all my intentions into it. :candle:

For me, this isn’t just about making a potion. It’s about releasing anger, letting go of negative energy and bringing more love, patience and understanding into my home. I want my kids to feel surrounded by kindness and peace, and I want to work on myself too, trusting my intuition and connecting more deeply with my inner self.

I’ve also been wanting to explore my third eye and my connection with my ancestors and loved ones who have passed, so I’m hoping this can be part of my own spiritual journey and help me focus on what I need to release and what I want to welcome into my life.

I didn’t follow a set recipe or plan everything out. I just felt drawn to these ingredients and followed my intuition. :crescent_moon::sparkles:

I’d love to hear what others think about the ingredients and their spiritual meanings, especially mugwort, intuition and ancestral connection. Has anyone else ever felt guided to put certain ingredients together without really knowing why? :herb::crystal_ball:

This sounds really wonderful. I’m a baby witch still learning lots and don’t have much experience yet. I think the fact you followed what you felt intuitively is absolutely wonderful. I think following what feels right for you is very important. :triskele:

I’m going to tackle your last question first. This is me: and only me, so don’t use it for a source of “wisdom”. It’s only “water’s wisdom” not your wisdom.

I never add anything together without researching how it impacts other ingrediants or possble outcomes. ONLY because I am terrified of unforeseen repercussions, and that is MY personal struggle, not yours. I would say to you to not be reckless, lean in with your heart and realize when you make a mistake and accept that you messed up (if you do). It’s ownership if the craft that will teach you what you should do, and not do. Period. It’s YOU. NOT me.

As to Mugwort. I never leave home with out a pinch of it. It is SO versatile and can do so many things. I know it has somewhat become a joke because of movies, but they put it in there because it: is one of the most versatile and storied herbs in witchcraft, traditionally linked to lunar energy, the Crone aspect of the Triple Goddess, and deities like Artemis, Hecate, and Diana. It’s amazing for dreamwork and lucid dreaming, third eye annointing, Divination Tea, cleansing and so many other things. Never doubt it’s power. :sparkling_heart:

Hi my lovely, I love the idea of using Mugwort when you say you never leave home without it what do you use it for when you go out? I have some but not sure if I can use it for tea as it came in a small plastic bag it is probably okay for spells but not for drinking I will have to look maybe on Amazon to buy it from a tea seller.

After typing this I realized I can use this answer as my: WITCH CHALLENGE - Blood, Breath & Bone: Magick of the Body
Believe it or not, this is an old Gypsy trick. If you dare to believe my grandmother. I am allergic to bees and very sensitive to bug bites. (the bug bites matter in this post: not the bees) and I put a little mugwort in a baggie in my work bag. If I get a bug bite, I crush the mugwort in the baggie, and add a couple drops of water to get it wet enough to make a poultice, put it on the bite and cover it with a band-aid. I leave it on the bite for an hour or two and “pow” it soothes it so that I don’t scratch it into a worse state.

You can do the same thing “ish” with flax seed for minor inflammation from a cut. I don’t carry that with me, it can wait until I am home if I get a tiny infection. For instance, you know how a cut can get red and swollen if it starts to get infected: not a BAD infection, but a small one? A flax seed poultice is amazing for drawing that out.

Out of curiosity, I just looked and I even found both of them on a Google Search. :open_mouth: And I can vouch for the fact that they both work.
