Putting together yet another Book of Shadows since I have decided to specialize in Apothecary. I have put in Witchy Wisdom, of course. All apothecary info I could find and info on being a Green Witch, I feel like there is something missing and I cannot figure it out. Should I add Elemental majic?
Let me see if I have this correct. Apothecary is for healing, right? Whereas Green Witch goes a bit further for protection and other spells?
So how many does that make for you @LittleBanshee? I always thought having multiple BOS helped me keep things organized. Had 21 of them before I arrived online two years ago. Haven’t gotten the digital collection organized, yet.
Go for it! See how it works for you. If it doesn’t fulfill your needs, you can always shuffle the info in elsewhere.
Hello @LittleBanshee,
Congrats on another Book of Shadows - how exciting!
I second Georgia - if you feel called to Elemental Magick, jump in! It is a wonderful area of the Craft to explore that can be tied into what you already known about apothecary and green witchcraft. Since you already have a solid foundation there, perhaps the Earth Element might be a good starting part into your elemental exploration?
If that resonates, I’d recommend the Earth Element Invocation on the site - it is a great place to begin to connect with this element. There was also just an Earth Elemental Challenge with some great spells and wisdom shared by fellow coven mates. Feel free to take a look if you feel called to do so!
Good luck and blessed studies
I’m with @georgia and @BryWisteria on this. I think like Bry said, the element of earth would probably fit in nicely with your apothecary studies. I think the herb stuff falls in with the green witch, but if it were me I’d have an entire section dedicated to just herbs. Just my little two cents worth. Love hearing about your journey into apothecary! Keep updating us on how things are going with it if you don’t mind sharing!
That is what I was thinking being I am Taurus, an earth sign!
It sounds like Earth Magick is in your stars - that’s awesome!
Happy studies and blessed be
