A discovery of witches

I’m watching this show called A discovery of Witches I think you all might enjoy. It’s got me thinking about the difference of magick and Alchemy.

The show is fun… BUT if you love it… you should go back and read the books! It’s a trilogy and they are way more detailed than the show! The author is Deborah Harkness. I devoured the trilogy in less than a week!

Thank you for telling me who the author is @AileyGrey  :heartpulse: :witch_pentacle:

I just finshed watching it. I am currently watching Jentry Chou vs the Underworld on Netflix. Fun, manga style animation and it is loosely based on Chinese occult practice.

I loved this show when I watched it! I haven’t read the books yet, though, but they’re on my to-be-read list

Actually, There are now 5 books, 4 within the timeline of the trilogy and another one that takes a side journey to Colonial America, telling the story of Matthew and Marcus. That book is called “Time’s Convert” and the newest book is called “The Blackbird Oracle”, continuing the story from where the 3rd book left off.

I have already watched it but have a plan to watch it again. It got me interested in the actual knot spell which I did research and found an ancient ritual for it. I love that show.

It says it is on Netflix but when i check it is not. Maybe it is an Australian Netflix thing because from what others have said in the past sometimes we don’t get certain things… Will have to check which other companies have it… I know i binged watched Sabrina when it came out a few years back so i am sure i will love this one too thank you

I loved the Chilling adventures of Sabrina!! I am watching the discovery of witches on Netflix not Australia. Try to put it in the search bar if you haven’t already because I had trouble finding it at first.

I’ve heard of Discovery of Witches, but not seen it. Will have to look out for it, thanks for the recommendation.

My husband and I are in the habit of streaming shows on Acorn TV via Amazon Prime, and we got to the last episode of one of the shows we watch, so Eric was looking around for something else to watch. He selected a show called Sanctuary: A Witch’s Tale.

It’s about a modern-day witch, who uses her powers for good, living in the town of Sanctuary somewhere in England (looks like Cornwall to me). Though her daughter, Harper hasn’t inherited Sarah’s powers, when local teenager, Dan dies during a party, Harper is accused of killing him - by magic.
