A few wise words from an old crone

Living in the moment can be hard. I often bring my awareness to the present moment – and in doing so, realized how much I wasn’t IN the present. I was thinking about the past or what deadlines I have to meet and just getting swept up in the hustle and bustle of life.

My husband and I went to this beautiful place called Fueller Garden in Hampton NH.
I took pictures of course, but then really immersed myself IN the moment. The amount of smells that were filling my nose was incredible. The many different sounds of the birds, the buzzing of the honey bees…the warm sun on my skin and of course, the wonderful person I have spent 24 years with was by my side.

Today, here is your sign…to live in the moment and really take it all in and show gratitude for those things. Blessed be.

A great reminder! I’m guilty, as many others are, of living in the past or the future on a daily basis.

A great reminder, as always!

One thing my therapist and I talked about today, on this subject actually, was to do an imprint exercise during moments of mindfulness. She said this can help us remember these moments so we don’t feel like we’re always busy or focusing on the negatives.

An imprint exercise could be a simple grounding technique, taking a few breaths and really sinking into the moment, or even doing the 5 Senses exercise!

Just wanted to share an extra nugget of wisdom

I am so happy for you that you found that moment just to embrace it and be grateful for what you have. I have been doing the same am so far it is going great! I tend to over spend even though i don’t need to, and have cut that back and decided i need to be thankful my family and i are healthy, i have fresh air to breathe and fresh water to drink. Even more so thankful for the abundance of nature in this beautiful Country right outside my front door!
