That was me, too. But I just mean on a project-by-project basis here.
I think it’s freedom. I don’t think the ability to do absolutely anything we feel like is really freedom; it’s just slavery to temporary whims, which can often be dictated by external sources rather than our inner pathway/higher self. Momentary elevated feelings versus long-term fulfilment.
But I’m probably framing it from a negative liberty versus positive liberty viewpoint.
Positive liberty is the possession of the power and resources to act in the context of the structural limitations of the broader society which impacts a person’s ability to act, as opposed to negative liberty, which is freedom from external restraint on one’s actions.
Except where, instead of being the limitations of society, it’s the limitations we set by our own morals and beliefs.
That means you become gorgeous daughters of Lilith…
That’s an interesting point
It also could extend to say that temporary pain and discomfort is a small price to pay for following that inner voice, couldn’t it… I’m still working on that one! That instant pleasure feels so good… Maybe I just need to work some more existential kink here and learn to get off on that pain
A lot of your problems are external, though. I know you feel like you don’t help yourself sometimes, with impulses and such, but when you finally get a change in environment, there’s a decent chance that your pull towards those impulses decreases. Once you get a bit used to the lack of stressful pressure around you, anyway.
What I mean is, don’t let all the pressure get put on you. Just in case you feel that pressure to push yourself too hard, y’know?
You always give me the scenario I’m not thinking of myself. It’s typically the best answer to. You look at my life from the outside. That’s a view I don’t see. It really helps me to get outside perspective
Starborn, this is beautiful. It gives me inspiration to do my alter for Hekate. Looking up information on Lilith, I decided to use this Copilot and it seems to be easy and has great detailed knowledgeable info.
Lilith, also spelled Lilit, Lilitu, or Lilis, is a fascinating figure in both Mesopotamian and Jewish mythology. Here are some key points about her:
Origin and Significance:
Lilith is theorized to be the first wife of Adam. According to some Jewish folklore, she was created from the same clay as Adam and was intended to be his equal partner.
However, Lilith refused to submit to Adam’s authority, leading to her banishment from the Garden of Eden.
Lust and Seduction: In some legends, Lilith embodies lust and tempts men astray. She is portrayed as a seductive figure who challenges traditional gender roles.
The legend of Lilith evolved extensively during the Middle Ages through Jewish mysticism and folklore.
In the 13th-century writings of Isaac ben Jacob ha-Cohen, Lilith left Adam after refusing to be subservient to him and then coupling with the archangel Samael.
In summary, Lilith’s significance extends beyond mythology; she continues to captivate our imaginations and challenge conventional norms. You might consider exploring her multifaceted character further through literature, art, or personal reflection. 25
I leaned heavily into the demoness imagery generating these with DALL·E. I was trying to devise some demoness looks for myself, and I think they ended up being quite “Daughters of Lilith,” Queen of the Nightside.
