Hi, I was looking at the different types of Witches there are and came across Art Witches and I was wondering if anyone on here has any information or any websites/books that they recommend on Art Witchery or even if anyone is am Art Witch and could tell me abit more about it? I’ve looked through out spells 8 and couldn’t find anything so maybe I’m looking in the wrong places? I’d love to know more about it.
Blessed be
You could check out Molly Roberts Magic on You Tube https://www.youtube.com/@HerSpeak . She’s an art witch and shares regular videos of the witchy crafts she is creating. She is on Patreon and shares beautiful artsy pages you can print for your grimoire and ways to incorporate art into your craft. She also has a book available on Amazon - Art Magick: How to become an art witch and unlock your creative power: Roberts, Molly: 9781446308899: Amazon.com: Books
Another one is Amy at Magical Crafting https://www.youtube.com/@MagicalCrafting She shares regular magical crafting videos, meditations, spells etc. Her voice is very relaxing to listen to and I thoroughly enjoy her videos, and support her on Patreon as well.
I like to blend a bit of artsiness into my own magical practice as well, by doing things like creating art journal pages to celebrate the Sabbats.
Hello @miss3,
Others may define it differently, but I’d say that an Art Witch is any magickal practicioner who incorporates a form of art into their spiritual practice. There are many here in the forum (and jayne has given you some great advice and resources!) - I’d suggest browsing the crafts tag to see what the creatives are crafting
Additionally, there was an Art Witch Challenge in the forum a while back. You might take a look at the resources there or, if you scroll down to the comments, you can see all of the art magick that the coven did during the challenge. There are some really beautiful pieces!
Blessed be!
I came here to say just that! Being any “type” of witch is just a label used to identify your interests. If you use art in your magic, or magic in your art, then that’s all there is to it.
