🔥 Beltane Abundance Spell

Beltane Abundance

Beltane (May Day) is one of the eight sabbats on the pagan Wheel of the Year. It is known as a Cross-Quarter Day and marks the transition from spring into summer. As a fire festival, it is customary to welcome Beltane with bonfires, candles, and fire magick :fire:

Beltane Herbal Abundance Spell

The gardens are blooming—it’s time to clean out the pantry and make room for the new harvest! This spell respectfully recycles old herbs and invites a new season of abundance.

  1. Open your pantry and collect any stale or expired herbs and spices. Bring them to your Beltane bonfire.

  2. Offer your old herbs into the flames. Say:

I give thanks for last year’s blessings and the bounty of the spring
I offer you their remnants and pray for what you’ll bring
By light of sacred sabbat flame and joy of Beltane cheer,
I offer you these herbs and prayers for a bountiful new year!

  1. After the fire has gone out and cooled, take a small handful of ash. Sprinkle the bonfire ashes over your gardens to spread abundance and bring another prosperous cycle.

I would love to do this, but I don’t have a fire. I was going to do candles. Would it work burning that in a cauldron or would I need charcoal to keep it going?

I’d say that’s fine! There’s no rulebook when it comes to sacred fires - a small bonfire or candle is still a sacred sabbat flame :candle:  As long as you have enough fire burning hot enough to consume any herbs/offerings, it’ll work.

On that note, if you have a lot of herbal material you’d like to offer, I’d suggest adding it to your fire in multiple small offerings (instead of one big bundle). This can make it easier on a smaller flame and reduce the potential for indoor flare-ups.

Wishing you a blessed Beltane, Amethyst! :candle: :sparkles:
