There are no covens around here (that I know of) and I miss community, so here I am! Witchcraft has evolved over the years. I’m sure you are never too old to learn new ways and perhaps discard some old ways.
Welcome, @KindredSpirit ! Not all of us are young, here, but it is easy to get that impression. Your wisdom is valued.
Hello @KindredSpirit and welcome to the forum!
My name is Megan and I’m one of the moderators here at Spells8 It’s nice to meet you!
You are never too old - and I can assure you, our wonderful coven here online has a vast array of ages! We are open to anyone aged 13 and up (and we have a few members who are at least that young) and there are others here who are well into their crone/sage years. You are welcome here and we’re happy to have you!
Please, feel free to reach out if you have any questions and hop right into the forum! Make yourself at home

Make yourself at home! Look forward to learning with you
May you find these people as wonderful as I do! We have a great group. There is a lot of variety to learn from, gentle answers to questions, challenges to encourage:

Hi, @KindredSpirit! I’m Amethyst from Southern West Virginia. Welcome to the forum!
It’s lovely to meet you! We have a great community here so I’m glad you’ve joined us! I’m getting close to my Croneage myself so I’d be interested in learning from you!
Merry meet @KindredSpirit !
I’m Kat and I found the practice over 30 years ago but lost my way for a while. I came home a few years ago and found this amazing group of people!! I practice eclectic green magick and am interested in tarot, runes, ogham, herbalism, and moon magic. I work with Artemis (she’s been with me since the beginning), Selene and Hekate.
I have said a few times, partly in jest, that I’ve entered my crone phase of life. I feel more connected, reflective, curious, grounded, and mystical than at any other point in my life.
We’re glad to have you here. Make yourself comfortable, explore, and feel free to ask questions!
Welcome to the coven I’m Devenne. Feel free to jump in
Blessed be
Thank you Mystique! I feel quite welcome here!
I’m really amazed at all the wonderful welcomes! It will take me a bit to get used to the site but I think I like it here already!
Hello and welcome @KindredSpirit I’m Amanda from Oklahoma I’m so glad you found us
Welcome @KindredSpirit !
I am Celine and I think i could be considered a crone? How old are you need to be a crone? I am a mother of fur babies and my plants bur never birthed anything .
We are so glad that you are here. Please ask whatever you need. I can not wait to hear your wisdom .
Merry Meet Celine! I think of Maid, Mother, Crone as being in a stage of life rather than a set range of ages. To me a Crone is post menopause and has been through the ups and downs of life. She has learned much by experience but realizes she doesn’t know everything and that there is a lot left to learn! A Crone is not necessarily Wise! Again, that is how I see a Crone. Even though I am a Mother I don’t think you have to have been one to get to the Crone stage. Traditionally, it is a set of experiences that ties you down somewhat. Yes I know Women are mothers and have careers too. But by not being a mother perhaps you had the freedom to other things? (You don’t have to answer that, just something to think about.)
Also I think diversity and inclusion awareness has opened one’s eyes to wider issues. Your set of Maid, Mother, Crone stages may vary due to health issues, both mental health and physical health. The Culture you grew up in and their view on the roles of Women also play a big part. Those in the LGBTQIA+ community would also have a different set of experiences.
Ooh thank you Arzu. I am still in the process of periomenepause. So i think i am still a mother birthing things.
Yes. Not being a mother has allowed me to birth other things like creativity, a business, be a mentor, pet mama to 6 different a animals and a good friend.
I am trying to birth a healing school right now. And finish my memoir. Will share more when I am feeling ready.
Merry meet and welcome home
@KindredSpirit

Hello! Welcome to
Your title caught my eye. Now I am wondering about crones (spell check made it cronies ). At what age is one considered a Crone? Is a Crone your years alive, or could it be a depth of knowledge?
I am 42. I had my children later in life so I am probably in my mother phase.
