I am just learning the runes. There is alot of info to digest. I know what each are called, I can recognize them by sight. What they represent is going to take some time. Has anyone here done any divination with the runes? If so, how long did it take to learn all their meanings?

I’m not good with the runes, but I’m sure there are some of our Norse practitioners who use them. Have you seen the Casting Runes Course, though? It’s great!

I’ve put alot of posts about runes so it depends how deep you want to go. They do more than divination, they are an energy system that works like reiki. Any questions just ask, but for a first step learn them like you would your ABC, so know their names and order by heart, then learn their divination meanings. Once you got that, the skies the limit with these things :grin:

It never ends lovely. I’d say a year to really get the foundation solid but there’s always more to learn. My rune tutor said, the more you use them, the runes actually teach you directly and you just start to absorb them into your Psyche. So don’t put a timescale on yourself, just enjoy them and you’ll find one day, it’ll click.

Thank you for the info. I will put into use asap. I have already committed the rune names and order to memory. I am trying like the dickens to learn what each one means.

An easy way to learn the meanings is to pull a rune in the morning, draw it on your wrist/hand so you look at it throughout the day, and this helps to remind you of the meaning. Gradually, and quicker than you think, you’ll suddenly know them. :wink:

These apps are good, and not expensive to get rid of ads.

I use Runic Divination. An app I found in google play. It was free. It give the meanings and it has quizzes for keywords for each rune and a quiz with descriptions and you have to choose the right rune.

I will chech out the othets though. They might be better.
