Robot controlled by a king oyster mushroom blends living organisms and machines. :mushroom:

I thought this was an interesting article, very weird but interesting. Then I got to the cyborg cockroaches and I figured that’s a sign of the apocalypse and backed away.

I have a few different types of mushrooms in my yard :laughing: Every time that I want to take a picture, I don’t have my phone on me :rofl: Oh! I do have a mini rose quartz mushroom though!

I think you summed it up very well - the possibilities are exiting, but also scary at the same time. And I’m with you about the cyborg cockroaches! Of all the creatures to give more power too, cockroaches would be at the bottom of my list :joy:

I guess I’m still on the iffy fence about robotizing mushrooms and bugs, but the article reminded me of the mushroom music videos, which take their electronic signals/energy and turn it into music. In this way, I think they’re actually pretty cute and relaxing :notes: :person_in_lotus_position: Here’s one:

What a fascinating article :sparkling_heart:

There’s an interesting similarity there between the networks of mycelia and our own neural networks :smiley_cat: Our nervous system has grown to wrap itself all around our body from the inside, and every time we move a muscle it’s because one or more of the cells have fired an electrical impulse. Tightly interwoven, one couldn’t survive without the other. Maybe the secrets of consciousness are to be found in the fractal patterns of mushroom networks :blush: :mushroom:
