Fun Friday (Part 3)

Not quite what I meant. I cannot enjoy apples any time except in September. I’m odd. I’ll drink cider for heat in cold weather, but I generally cannot taste it, only the cinnamon and ginger.

  1. February has been pretty good, other than the weekend spent at St. Luke’s with Eric - but all’s well that end’s well there.
  2. Tough choice - I’m going to go for bananas - especially in a banana nut sundae, or a chocolate banana smoothie……
  3. Horses - they have carried mankind throughout history, we would be nowhere without them.
  4. I don’t really have a “favorite” type of exercise. It would be walking if I could actually walk without knee pain, and also if I had somewhere scenic to walk (and pleasant weather). I’ve just started doing Tai Chi with some video classes. We’ll see how that goes….
  5. One thing I do keep up with is 3 miles daily on the exercise bike - the incentive of a medal from Conqueror challenges certainly helps.

I called him (he and I share o disdain for socks). He said he just finished a quantum mechanics experiment and not to worry. All the bad things from last week are now on a different dimensional path. If you don’t remember anything from last week, that is good. Your dimensional twin on the other hand is pretty upset.

  • It’s the last Friday of February! How did the month treat you?
I can’t remember anything bad. It was a great week - except for the med mistake by the doctor and twisting my back when practicing my adagio. I stepped on a shot glass.

  • What’s your favorite fruit?
Apples and strawberries. I just realized I don’t eat a lot of fruits. Hmmm. Wait… I eat a lot of bananas.

  • What animal best represents power to you?
Dogs. Lions or other big cats would seem obvious but dogs have figured out how to come in from the wild and survive by being loyal to us. They hold our hearts.

  • What’s your favorite type of exercise?
Biking. Used to do a LOT of it. I stopped as I got older because I am no longer immortal and riding on roads is not safe anymore.

  • How often do you actually do it?
This week none but usually 5- 7 days a week on a stationary one. I watch movies, listen to playlists, etc and the time melts away.

Here are this week’s questions:

  1. It’s the last Friday of February! How did the month treat you?

  2. What’s your favorite fruit?

  3. What animal best represents power to you?

  4. What’s your favorite type of exercise?

  5. How often do you actually do it?

:herb: This month for the most part has been okay. I only hate the days I’m so loopy and fatigued from disrupted sleep. (Stupid OSA). Those days I can’t function at all. The month went quite fast, so I didn’t really have a chance to get involved in activities I wanted to. But I did get to enjoy other things I love to do! I look forward to March. Spring, more sunshine, the birds and bees returning, tank tops, shorts, and bare feet!

:herb: I am a fruit fiend! I love bananas, all types of berries, apples, clementines, lemons, limes, avocados, watermelon, apricots, peaches, pineapples, mangos, papayas, red grapes (frozen).

:herb: I would say elephants best represent power to me. Their power feels almost mythic. They have immense physical force and a deep layered presence. They show empathy, cooperation, caregiving, and even mourn elephants who have passed on. They have the largest brains of any land mammal and demonstrate advanced cognition and spatial memory. That is power to me. I have elephants all over my home.

:herb: I love walking and bike riding for exercise. I like to do low impact walking workouts with my daughter. I have tons of DVDs. I also have a mini elliptical trainer under my desk so I can pedal as much as I want. I have had to modify what kinds of physical activity I can do throughout the last few years.

:herb: I try to be as active as I can be every day. What I actually do depends on the day and the level of pain I’m dealing with that particular day. There are days where I’m not able to do anything but sit on my butt and hobble around the house. My surgery put me back a little but I’m getting stronger as each day passes.

Pretty good, if it wasn’t for the snow. There have been too many appointments I’ve had to move around.

Hmm, I’d say strawberry. Or orange. Either one are awesome!

Grizzly Bear! They may look like they’re slow, but they are actually faster than Olympic sprinters and can outrun you, uphill or down. They can take one paw and wipe you the heck out. They can eat pretty much anything, including you! And they know how to use their power and when not to, so they can conserve it. Yeah, grizzly bears are awesome. Well, most of them. There was an old Disney Family type movie that had Three-Toe the Bear, and he scared the pee out of me when I saw him in the theater!

Mental exercises. Heh. Or walking. Sporty I am not.

Umm, at least once a week. Not often enough, that’s for sure. Well, for the walking that is. LOL!

A-weema-weh, a-weema-weh, a-weema-weh, a-weema-weh!

All that walking and carrying things? Very much an exercise!

I’m glad things are going better for you!

So true. I’ve seen people on bikes getting wiped out! It’s terrible.

Nice choice!

I find it neat that we all chose different animals for power!

Agreed! So glad everything turned out well.

Ooo, now you’re talking! :face_savoring_food:

So true! Plus, they’re gorgeous! :horse:

I’m super interested in this! Are the classes on YouTube?

Uh-huh - sure you did. But I do hope that your back is better!

That’s an interesting observation! They have power through their loyalty to us, and we love having them around. For the most part.

Agreed - if you can’t find a good trail, it’s gotten risky. Rails to Trails are the best, because they go for miles, but the grades aren’t much.

You and me both, Sister! Come on, Spring! I hope your sleep patterns get better for you. :beating_heart:

Yummm!!! I love everything you listed here, the only one I’m not wild about is the mango. It’s been years since I tried one, so I should give them another chance. Our taste buds definitely change over time!

Beautifully said! They’re amazing animals. :elephant:

Here’s hoping this improvement continues! I can definitely relate to working around pain levels!

Ugh - I hear you about the snow! :snowflake: Been way too much of it and it does interfere with plans!

Holy crap! I never knew they could move that fast. I guess that’s why we’re told not to bother running from them, just lay down and hope they stay back. I don’t think I could do that!

Blah. I say, blame the weather! It’s hard to get motivated to go walking when it’s freezing outside, and even harder to think about driving in it just to get someplace to go walking.

Again: come on, Spring! :blossom: :cherry_blossom: :sunflower:

Oh yeah! And they are big. Like a tank. And despite that, they are agile! I am not gonna mess with a grizzly, that’s for sure!

See, it’s too cold in the winter. But I have allergies, so when the tree pollen is out in Spring, it’s best to stay in too! Then it gets too hot. You need AC. And in the Fall, ragweed. So yeah, best to just give up on that whole outdoor exercising thing.

I usually buy frozen because they’re already cut for me and frozen fruits are picked at the peak of freshness, so I know they’ll be sweet.

Unfortunately, that will be the way of life until it’s time to fly the coop! In some ways, I’ve become used to it. And I try not to let it get me down. Even if I’m in pain, life is worth living!

That’s one less worry then, for this timeline’s Celestia at least! :innocent: I must have been doing some temporal acrobatics again, where I came from Einstein had been dead for decades, can you imagine!

I’m not bragging because I hate hot weather, but it was 91 degrees here in California today! You can send me all that snow! I’ll make snow cones for everybody!

The Fridays keep coming, that’s something to be thankful for… TGIFF! :grinning_cat_with_smiling_eyes: :folded_hands: :confetti_ball:

To a mountain of shadow work, and Lilith knows I needed it! The snake shook off the last of it’s old shriveled skin, and it’s time for the horse to take over. Not that horse, I’m not on any substances believe it or not, this is all me  I’ve been feeling a shift back to daylight things from the shifty, slithering darkness.

Mmm, slithering darkness  It still has its place :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

A pear a day keeps The Doctor away :grinning_cat_with_smiling_eyes: :pear:
Can’t say no to a nice pair of juicy watermelons either… :watermelon:

Sssss, slithering death, wrapping around your ankles… bite or no bite? That’s power :heart_on_fire:

I like yoga asanas and dancing :woman_dancing:

Little bit every day… whole sessions? Once a week for yoga when my teacher can make it. Sometimes when the dreaded disco fever strikes, I can dance myself to exhaustion. Let’s say once a month :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Thank you, babe!

Yeah.. I understand that. Non-impact exercise is the only thing I can do and even that is hard sometimes. It is impressive you still go for it. It takes intestinal fortitude to press on through the hard times.

Classic Weavers!

Hmm. Good advertising for cleaning up after oneself.

Great! Keep up the good work!

Thank you.

As long as I can avoid yellow snow, I’m good. If I could, a rainbow would do fine! Taste the rainbow! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: Sorry, no Skittles yet this year. Hmm: tropical flavors could include lychee, dragon fruit, red haw, star fruit, kiwi, sumac, dates, pomegranate, mango, pineapple, durian, jackfruit. Personally, I don’t care for the last two. The rest are delicious, though some are a bit colorless.

I come from a long line of very strong women who have gone through the most trying of circumstances. I was just telling the physical therapist I worked with today about all I have gone through in the last two years, and I think he was shocked I was still going. I don’t know anything but to keep going. My intestines have a lot of fortitude!
