Yeah that’s it.
That was a BIG thing in my school when I was about ten. I could do doubles, sometimes, if they were close together. But the other girls, man! They could get like, four at once! Once again, my natural uncoordination bites me in the butt. LOL!
Ditto that! My sister was fast and amazing with jacks - she routinely scooped up several at a time. I’d try her hand motions and scatter them across the floor!
1.If you could choose your theme song, what would it be?
La Marseillaise
2.Do you remember the first game you really enjoyed? Go back as far as you like, anything from puzzles to consoles!
Definitely Monopoly. I spent hours with family and friends at that game when I was younger.
3.How many types of divination do you use in your Craft?
Cards (many), Runes (just getting going), Divining Rods (I suck at it in some ways and in others I seem to be very good)
4.From the moment you started this amazing journey, is there anything which has surprised you?
I was surprised that my previous meditation experiences were such a good match for so many techniques
5.Choose any divination method (runes, cards, bones, crystals, etc.) and pick 5. Who is your drummer (pick 1), who’s your pianist, who’s your bass player, who’s your backup vocals and who’s your lead singer (pick 5). It’s up to you how you interpret the reading!
I have no horse in the race for most of this so I would be faking it. For lead singer - I have a few. Whitney Houston (kinda a solo but with backup vocals), Freddie Mercury (Queen), Steven Tyler (Aerosmith), Cher (same as Whitney). I pulled cards and if upright it was a plus and if reversed, that option had to drop.
I pulled six cards and the winner was Whitney. Which was what I hoped. Freddie would have been excellent but he got dropped on the second run-through. I only picked one (had to do two edits to add this… wonky day)
I could only watch part of the first season. I was always in awe that no one ever got hit by a bullet. Bad guys and good guys always walked away despite hundreds of rounds being shot each episode.
The movie, though, is one of my favorite. I have it on my list for my exercise bike. I have probably watched it a dozen times. The theme song is great - movie quotes start streaming through my head when I hear it.
I loved both but the movie is hilarious

I loved both but the movie is hilarious
Yassss, one of the best parts of that movie! I don’t even remember the tv versions but I will never forget the movie - they each play their part beautifully. A small part of me still misses Mr T in that role though lol.
@tracyS @Amethyst @Feathertip I LOVED jacks!

using a pendulum is out for me since my hands shake.
You can get boards with this attachment which holds the pendulum above the board for you, in case you’re interested

the winner was Whitney.
Yay Whitney! And I also liked Monopoly, I still play it on my phone everyday lol.

I’ve tried it, and I just don’t connect well to the pendulum with them. Or at least it just sits there and does nothing. But thank you so much for thinking of me!
Somewhere it’s Friday

1.If you could choose your theme song, what would it be?
Let’s say Kissing the Spirit Awake by Peruquois & Praful Slow and sensual, spiritual and embodied, ecstatic and hypnotic

2.Do you remember the first game you really enjoyed? Go back as far as you like, anything from puzzles to consoles!
I really enjoyed drawing mazes and giving them to my mother to solve Later I built them with Lego blocks, featuring things like key cards, moving elevators and guards to distract.
My first gaming system was named Amiga, Spanish for “girlfriend”, and my all time favorite game on it one named “Chaos Engine”. Figures

3.How many types of divination do you use in your Craft?
Let’s see… tarot, oracle, pendulum, candle wax, angel numbers… at least 5. I’m open to seeing patterns everywhere. Dreams might count too.

4.From the moment you started this amazing journey, is there anything which has surprised you?
So many things! I didn’t mean to work with demons or learn Sanskrit, but here we are! Or believe in reincarnation, or become an energy healer, or meet other witches face to face and do spells with them and run naked in the woods together.

I think I’ll leave this for tomorrow with my archetype deck!
Decided to do something different and ask my deities
So Lilith and Kali are my lead and backup vocals respectively. Shiva’s in the drums wearing nothing but ashes from funeral pyres, and Lucifer is nerding out at the keyboard. Asmodeus rocks out the bass in full leather, and Saraswati has the lead guitar, that looks suspiciously like her veena.

I didn’t mean to work with demons or learn Sanskrit,
You learned Sanskrit? Impressive. I learned Thai (Siamese) because I was deep in the jungle with them. It is based on Sanskrit and the letters are similar but that is like saying English is similar to Latin since English has roots in Latin. Speaking it when immersed in the culture is easy enough but just learning it in isolation would have been crazy hard. With Sanskrit, it would be even harder.
I missed the last two weeks because I was sick, so today I am answering for the last weeks. I hope that’s okay with everyone ….
-
Who is your magickal inspiration at the moment, real or fictional? - Hecate
-
What’s your guilty pleasure? - I love to watch Two and a Half Men. I have seen every episode so many times, but I just can’t stop watching it lol. It is on every evening Monday through Friday and I just have to watch it!
-
Do you believe in Angels and Fairies? - YES!!! I actually saw a fairy once, but by the time I did a double take she was gone.
-
Any New Moon plans, or just another day for you? - I was sick for the New Moon.
-
Have you “rediscovered” anything magickal lately - something you started exploring but kind of forgot about? - I have only been practicing for eight months, so no lol.
-
If you could choose your theme song, what would it be?
-
Do you remember the first game you really enjoyed? Go back as far as you like, anything from puzzles to consoles! - Monopoly! I crush at Monopoly!
-
How many types of divination do you use in your Craft? - Oracle Cards, Crystals, The Crystal Ball/Mirror, the Pendulum, and Runes. Am I missing any?
-
From the moment you started this amazing journey, is there anything which has surprised you? - I am surprised by how many Gods and Goddesses keep reaching out to me to want to work with me! It makes me so happy!
-

Who is your drummer (pick 1), who’s your pianist, who’s your bass player, who’s your backup vocals and who’s your lead singer (pick 5). It’s up to you how you interpret the reading! - Oracle Cards are the lead singer. The drummer is Rose Quartz. The bass player would be a rune. Backup vocals would be crystal ball. This is kinda hard lol. Am I supposed to do an actual reading?

You learned Sanskrit? Impressive.
Thank you I’m still learning, ever since I had my first introduction to tantra (think that was 2021) I’ve been drawn to the language. I started yoga soon after too. I’m a curious soul by nature and love language, so when I’m given words like asana and pranayama I want to know what exactly they mean
I still can’t read or write devanagari, that’s probably the kind of thing where the immersion would really help. What I can do though is to sing mantras, even pretty complex ones, and mostly already know what they mean without having to look up that many words
That’s awesome! No small feat to come as far as you have already.
I know nothing of Sanskrit so I’m in awe of you achievement but I did purchase a pendant recently that is the Sanskrit symbol for the word Breathe.
Hey hey you fabulous humans! It’s that time again, insert a little fun into your weekend… enjoy!
1.With your Craft, is there anything you do which you didn’t think would interest you at the beginning?
2.What do you feel is your strength in your Craft?
3.What are your magickal hopes for the coming week?
4.Finish this: I had a dream about…
5.What do you like to eat when you’re happy, and when you’re sad?
Here are my answers:
1.Chaos magick. As I’ve said before, my only knowledge of it prior to here was the Scarlett Witch, and she made it seem pretty terrifying lol!
2.My intuition - I may not always trust it as much as I should - yet - but it is definitely my strength.
3.Serenity in my meditations. Things have been weird lately.
4…kittens being born. I rarely dream, and it’s rarer still that I remember a dream, but I vividly remember this one, it was a tabby maybe an hour old, eyes still shut but quiet and chilled for a newborn kitten lol.
5.Happy food for me is delectable and just plain naughty, anything from an indulgent pastry to an expensive takeaway. Sad food for me is usually comforting, like shepherd’s pie or spaghetti bolognese.
Have a fabulous weekend everyone!
x Blessed Be x
This is such a great idea! Thanks for posting @Nikki-Phoenix
1.With your Craft, is there anything you do which you didn’t think would interest you at the beginning?
Creating my own spells/rituals - I believed that they needed to be written by a ‘real’ witch to work, which I didn’t consider myself to be. I’ve since learned that intention is everything!
2.What do you feel is your strength in your Craft?
Determination? I can be a little bit obsessive when working on something I feel strongly about. Pros and cons there but lets call it a strength for now
3.What are your magickal hopes for the coming week?
To feel more connected to the Craft. Immerse myself in positive, magical energy.
4.Finish this: I had a dream about…
Being late for school… as an adult? and deciding to skip class to hang out in the music department instead
I often dream about school days, and that sounds much like what I’d do as a teenager!
5.What do you like to eat when you’re happy, and when you’re sad?
Happy food is home cooked with love, time and attention. Or a meal out at a nice restaurant take me for sushi, good steak or authentic Italian and I’ll love you forever!
Sad food comes in microwaveable plastic containers or has the names ‘Ben’ and ‘Jerry’ stamped on the front.

1.With your Craft, is there anything you do which you didn’t think would interest you at the beginning?
I wasn’t that interested in oracle decks, thinking that tarot was superior. I think I stumbled into a pretty common trap, seeing a complex system with a learning curve and something simple and elegant, and assuming that the former is better just because it feels more arcane. Both have their uses. I’d kinda like to make my own oracle deck. The format allows for more flexibility, and I like that.

2.What do you feel is your strength in your Craft?
I’m extremely sensitive, which also means I’m attuned to energies. Also I’m very curious and open-minded, and drawn to all kinds of fun taboo things I love listening to people, and get them to open up to me, and help them gently untangle their knots. I’m feeling more and more that energy healing and coaching is something I’m called to do.

3.What are your magickal hopes for the coming week?
Tapping into the magickal energies of Lapland, which is where I’m right now Weaving some threads for my future. And meeting my soul sister again. We amplify each other’s creative chaos, and interesting things always come out of it

4.Finish this: I had a dream about…
An internship position in a cult! Think all the work while being kept in the dark about everything important. I befriended my supervisor, and learned that she didn’t really know anything either. It took some crawling into ventilation ducts and eavesdropping on lunchtime conversations between members to start getting at least some real information, but still the dream ended before I could start piecing things together.

5.What do you like to eat when you’re happy, and when you’re sad?
I don’t really do emotional eating. If I’m feeling dissociated (out of body), I enjoy foods that give me some kind of interesting sensation… spicy, hot, cold, crunchy. Helps me drop back in.
Yayyy @Nikki-Phoenix!
1.With your Craft, is there anything you do which you didn’t think would interest you at the beginning?
Learning Lenormand cards, no question. I had (and still have) only a passing knowledge of tarot cards and thought I’d start some study. But once I found Lenormand (thanks to @dan3!) there was no turning away.
2.What do you feel is your strength in your Craft?
Persistence and keeping my mind open.
3.What are your magickal hopes for the coming week?
That everyone stays happy in the garden. We have a bit of a heat wave coming for a few days, and my feathered/delicate-winged/leaf and petal-type friends are going to need extra attention.
4.Finish this: I had a dream about…
Human-sized chrysalises hanging under a bridge. I was in a boat floating towards them. It might have to be a painting one day.
Now, where in the world do you suppose that came from?
5.What do you like to eat when you’re happy, and when you’re sad?
Happy food is some kind of pasta with lots of basil and garlic, and a glass of red wine.
Or, you know, potato chips!
No sad food for me. Food is celebratory to me so I tend to not care what’s around when I’m sad.
Ooh, Fun Weekend! LOL! Here we go!
-
I too, choose Chaos Magick. I think that most of us here at the forum at into Chaos Magick a little bit. Flitting around trying new things and new spells that are out of our comfort area is great fun! I love it!
-
Writing. When I have time to put my mind to it, I can usually write something that I like that has meaning to me.
-
I want to set up that dish with stones and salt for protection this week. I just have to figure out where to put it where it won’t spill!
-
I had a dream about loosing my shoes in the mall and having to look for them, while a marching band kept getting in my way. Really. I have no idea where the heck any of that came from. I’m not even going to try to analyse it. LOL!
-
Pizza or Spaghetti is a happy food for me. Pizza more often than not. I love it! And chocolate always cheers me up. Cake, cookie, brownie, or bar, it’s all good!
Have a good weekend, y’all!
