Goddess in my belly?

Hello,

I am seeking insight regarding a recent experience during meditation. My intent was to connect with a specific deity for primary devotion.

During the meditation, I experienced an intensification of energy in my belly that still persists. My understanding is that the deity’s presence is within my body rather than external. I received some vague answers and images after posing questions.

I am unsure how to interpret this experience, as my current sources do not associate the stomach or abdomen with a specific deity. I also need guidance on what to do with this sustained energy now that I am aware of it.

Does anyone have any insight or advice they can share regarding this?

Thanks in advance,

Kevin

The only think I can think of is that you connected to your solar plexus chakra. I think Lakshmi is connected to it, but I’m not sure. I don’t know that much about chakras. But I hope this helps you out!

You’re welcome! It could be something else, that was the only thing I could think of off the top of my head.

Hi @kevin,

Congrats on the successful meditation, it sounds like you were able to connect/channel some powerful energy. That’s awesome!

It sounds like you’ve done some research and have got some preliminary answers, which is great. I think Amethyst is right that it could be related to your chakras. And since your intention during the meditation was to connect with a deity, I’m also inclined to think that a deity may be trying to reach out.

As for who, you mentioned you were trying to connect with a specific deity - did you have one in mind, in which chase this may be Them or a deity related to Them, or were you trying to reach a deity who wishes to begin working with you?

If you’re unsure who the deity may be, like Amethyst mentioned, the solar plexus chakra could be a place to start. The deity could be any deities of the Sun - Ra, Sol, Amaterasu, Lugh, Helios, etc.

Another idea is a Mother Goddess, as the belly/abdomen is the hearth of life. You might look into deities of creation, fertility, and family. There are many pagan goddess of creation, such as The Triple Goddess, Gaia, Cerridwen, Cybele, etc.

I know you mentioned you already got some answers and images, so you may have already tried this - but if not, I recommend doing some divination to get more clarity. If you like tarot or oracle, you might use this spread to help narrow down your deity:

Does this energy feel good and uplifting? If so, extra good energy is a wonderful thing. You can direct it in the same way you direct your usual energy - towards work, education, crafting, passion projects, exercise, etc. You might also channel the energy you’re carrying into spells or rituals.

If the energy doesn’t make you feel good, you could release via a breathing meditation (breathe in clean air, exhale that which you are releasing) or do a banishing spell.

Whatever you choose to do, I’m wishing you good luck, Kevin! Blessed be :sparkles:

I agree with what everyone has said so far!

I would also say that it’s possible you’ve taken on excess energy from your meditation that isn’t related to a deity. Sometimes, in raising energy or meditating, we can draw energy within and then hold on to it. If you feel like it’s too much or that you don’t want to hold on to this energy, I’d suggest a grounding ritual where you return the energy back to the earth.

@BryWisteria @Amethyst @MeganB Thank you for your thoughts and advice. I did not have a specific deity in mind; indeed I was hoping to reach a deity who wishes to work with me. I researched Lakshmi and I also used the suggested tarot spread. Aspects of the reading do describe Lakshmi; however, the first card gives me pause. As does cards four and seven. This deity is very gifted but overconfident in what she can do to the point of being reckless. Or, maybe this is her warning?

The energy did subside some but it has not been too uncomfortable. My last meditation sent it throughout me in waves. This has been a fun experience. Thanks again for working with me on this!

Hello. I’ve concluded that I’ve connected with Sigyn. There is not much information out there about her, but I think she’s shared some of her secrets with me. So that’s pretty cool.

Very nice! The only thing I really know about Sigyn is from Marvel Comics mostly. If I remember rightly, she held up a bowl over Loki during one of his punishmens and caught the venom the snake hovering about Loki was putting out.

Not exactly my type of a good time!

I’m glad you figured it out though! That’s awesome!
