Happy to be with you all

Hello - New here, and very new to witchcraft. I’ve been Pagan my whole life, even when I was too young to know it, if that makes sense. I recently have felt the pull to go deeper.

I am now living in a 75 year old bungalow in southern Michigan, with my husband and two cats: Bex and Miss Finn. We moved here to be closer to my mom, who recently turned 98, and is still sharp as a tack.

I’m very new to all this and hope to learn from each of you. Thanks for having me!

Blessed be! :raising_hands:

There is a lot of info. What I did and still do, is look for the info that calls to me rather than dive into everything. The courses are great for chunks of info! They are very well done!

Hi, @Feathertip! I’m Amethyst from Southern West Virginia. Welcome to the forum! :infinite_roots:

It’s great to have you here! And may I congratulate you for moving with two cats! Wow. LOL! Anyhow, this is a great place to really study and learn witchcraft. You can start out slowly with something like the Group Ritual on Thursdays which is basically tea and meditation when you can get to it, and post about it later.

And in the Courses, you’ll find all you need to start casting circles and spells!

If you have any questions, just ask and someone will pop up and give you a hand. I look forward to getting to know you!

Hi again @Feathertip! Nice to formally meet you. I’m Susurrus, a moderator here at Spells8 & Infinite Roots :infinite_roots:

I was born on Cape Cod, moved a few times, practiced Wicca in my teens, life happened, circled back to Cape Cod, wanted to find what makes me, me… & here I am :hugs: Lots of twists, turns, here, there, everywhere over the last few years.

There is a lot of information on the site as well as the forum. It can be overwhelming for sure. I can honestly say:
→ You don’t need to have all the things or buy anything brand new
→ Try your best to go slow when learning about anything. Its exciting & there’s a lot, but you don’t need to know, practice, or have all the answers. Burnout is a real thing!
→ If you have any questions or anything to share, please do! There many practitioners of all kinds. Someone will be able to help you & we will point you in the right direction.
→ Enjoy yourself & your journey

Take it at your own pace and don’t let it overwhelm you.

A good place to start learning the basics is the Wicca Self Initiation Course Wicca Self-Initiation: Video Course in 8 Ritual Nights – Spells8

Then you can branch out from there, at your own pace, into which courses you feel drawn towards.
