Has anyone ever come across the museum of witchcraft and magick from the Uk

I found it today while looking for items related to the TMO (Traditional Martinist Order) and RC (Rosicrucian)traditions that i am part of. I discovered a wealth of knowledge from both the western mystery schools and the eastern mystery schools. These are very intense teachings designed to awaken oneself spiritually as well as intellectually. I have said before i am eclectic in practicum. Since learning what i cannot really explain through words, including the hidden texts within many of the books a new world has opened up to me. I can feel the energies pulse through my body, I am wondering if anyone else has found similar experiences on your own unique paths. BTW those groups are non-denominational and multi faith as we each have our own personal view and connections to the Gods and Goddesses and To the Egregores and Megregores created through our practicum. It seems the more i dig into Magick and Witchcraft the more I come back to the writings and teachings of those like Sir John Dee who wrote on enochian magick within the book that became known as the Necronomicon or the Dee Necronomicon to be precise as there are many edited versons as i have all and read all of them, But what is in that museum blew me away

@Troy
Hi!
I’ve found that the eastern parts of the world have such a rich history in…everything.
The Us isn’t a very old country and a lot of its history is murky, muddy, oppressive, and filled with some really bad things.
But ours also is a nation filled with immigrants from every nation on earth. I want to give kudos to all of them for bringing their traditions, knowledge (and recipes) to us country folks.
Thanks to everyone and their ancestors.
Stay blessed

In reply to the title- yes! :grinning: The museum looks amazing, I actually wrote a post on it a while back:

I found myself in the UK twice this year, but I still haven’t been able to make it to the Museum of Witchcraft- maybe sometime things will align! Would really love to see it- I agree, @Troy, it does looks like a really awesome place to visit :sparkles: :blush:

Apologies, I don’t quite understand this- I’m used to thinking of eastern-western in terms of travel, but I don’t think the “western” traditions that are coming to mind for me (Wicca, Rodnovery, Druidry, etc) would have originated in Atlantis- although that being said, magickal history isn’t my specialty!

I’m curious- would you please clarify which western schools the resources say come from Atlantis? :grinning:

I have heard of the museum but I’ve not visited either physically or online. That’s something I might have to explore further! Thank you for sharing about it and your experience :heart: It sounds like you’ve got a lot good information for your own practice!

I’m with @BryWisteria on this one – I’m not sure what you mean by this. I’d love to hear an elaboration, or if you could point me to a good source? I’d appreciate it!

Western mystery traditions are Atlantean comes through Egypt. It is the belief that north and South America are Atlantis. Passed down from Egypts 18th dynasty. The source is the school that taught the Templars. Teachings Passed down in secret to carry and bring light and good to the world. Rosicrucian.org has a free library with source material that will blow your mind. All the mysteries of Greece and Egypt the teachings of Solomon and books of Thoth Enoch. It sounds religious and Christian but that was how it survived the dark ages and burning times. There are books anyone can read that contain codexes to decode hidden books within. Check the books out for yourself and you will see why Rosicrucians are the biggest threat to the church. Why Catholics demonized them. And Unlike free masons which come from same origin Rosicrucians accept both males and females in their lodges

I haven’t managed to get to Cornwall since I read about the museum but I’m hoping to take @praecog29 at some point, maybe next year, as its such a beautiful part of England. Might be worth checking it out :blush:

There is also a very cool museum of Egyptian mysteries in San Jose California made by the Rosicrucian order AMORC. They have similar items to the museum in England as a lot of items in the British museum of witchcraft are of Rosicrucian origin. I’ve been reading and researching deep into old books, I found also the us library of congress to have a wealth of knowledge available online to the public for free the Harold Houdini collection blew my mind with rare grimoires to be read. There is also a museum of witchs in Salem mass. It’s pretty cool that all of these places have been here in plain site for so long. I plan to visit in person these places in the future.

The teachings are that all of the mysteries come from Atlantis. Which was not a city but a civilization that disappeared 10000 years ago at the end of the ice age or before the ice age.the Teachings were found by the civilizations ( Summeria, Mesopotamia, Babylon Kemet, ect ) that started after the ice age by refugees from Atlantis that held onto their beliefs and deep connection with nature and unity of divine feminine and masculine in perfect balance and harmony. It’s pretty deep. And is to do with the combination of Magick and science and explains all the mysteries found in books such as the emerald tablet of thoth the Atlantean. So not an underwater city of fish people. These teachings explain the nature of matter and the laws of attraction repulsion. Adhesion and cohesion with vibration and frequency. To unlock the magickal powers of the mind as a force for good. Studying Copernicus, Jung Aristotle Ptolemy and many more as well of the writings of alchemists and occultists from as far back as 3200 years ago. The teachings are not everyone’s cup of tea are similarly structured to free masonry but masons wanting to become of the order of the rose cross join to further their knowledge. It’s open to both men and women can be very DaVinci code in nature and DaVinci is said to have been a member. Mostly it’s about Gnosis and Gnosticism. I hope that explains better and gives a more clear picture. I also used to think the wisdom was from the east. But it was hidden in the east for centuries out of reach of the church.

There are many with this belief and this narrative also explains why the Nazis fled to South America at the end of world war 2 as the teachings were confiscated and misunderstood by the nazis except for that north and South America were once Atlantis. The Illuminati from Germany in the 1600s is said to be an order made to distract from the real order there. They even have books about the secret history of the world. The other side of the story from what we’ve all been taught in school. But like I said the teachings are not everyone’s cup of tea. The rose cross sigil maker that is said to be golden dawn is a necklace that only members can purchase. Well a genuine one anyway. I tried my best to explain where the term western mystery tradition school comes from I hope I explained in enough detail. It is said to see the truth hold no opinions. My self I look at what all sides teach to form a more clear picture I try to keep everything separate. I have separate altars one for each mystery school. And one for my practice of witchcraft. They are in the same general space but each unique in practice. There is a lot of magick in the mysteries more than I thought what is even more unique is it is multi faith with Christian’s, pagans wiccans Buddhist Muslim and the Hindu faiths with everyone getting along in harmony for the greater good of humanity, and not gaslighting each other. It’s like nothing I ever saw before

I will try to explain these western traditions and how Atlantis figures in with public knowledge, knowledge I’ve found outside of the traditions.

Egyptian and Sumerian Magick comes from much older traditions, and in some ancient texts written by Sir John Dee the Americas are referred to as once being called Atlantis and who is claimed to have built all the pyramids around the world including those in Antarctica, China, India and South America.

These are taught though ancient doctrines held by these schools which come from the 18th dynasty of Egypt made way through the Sufi who taught the Hashassins who in turn initiated the Knights Templar. It’s a real tradition I had no idea myself until I was passed down my grandfathers books from him being a Rosicrucian.

What’s more in the city Where I live our legislature building was built by 33 degree Scottish rite Freemasons has Hermes on top who we call the golden boy to placate the church . I know how to read the alchemical symbols on these types of buildings. The main area is 66’6” x66’6” and has two bison to represent the two bulls guarding the gates and a black sun on the floor. It is modeled after King Solomons Temple. As the legislature was specifically built with underground tunnels and at the junction of several key lines. My point is this is how much belief is within these mystery schools.

Also the cardinal directions are signified and carved into the kings chamber in Giza as the bull east sun rise, Aquarius south, scorpion the serpent dragon west death or night, and the lion north the bull carving from Giza can be seen added into DaVinci last supper painting in the upper beam across the top of the painting. John Dee and Leonardo DaVinci were both grand masters of these schools

Most of the old Grimoires come from Grand masters of these schools including the Dee Necronomicon, the Agrippa, The Gigas Biblical, the keys of Solomon ect, ect

This is all public found information, I say this because I have taken a hermetic oath. There are some things I can talk about and some I’m not permitted to.

I hope this answers your questions.

Sorry I would have answered sooner but I’ve had some health issues I’ve been working through of late.

I fully respect your oath and I thank you very much for speaking about what you can- it is very interesting to hear about! :pray:

That sounds like an amazing building, and all the more interesting when you look closer at the details. I’m sure most people go in and out, admiring the beautiful architecture without ever knowing there is so much more to it. It sounds like a really exciting place to have close to home!

Thank you once again for sharing your studies on this, Troy- it reminds me that there really is always more to learn, and that a lot can be found when you look at things with a closer eye.

Many blessings! :pray::candle:

I’m always amazed at the amount of knowledge that has been oppressed and lost. The lies we’ve grown up with are what we have based our premis on. How can we develop our premis and our very way of life if our foundation is flawed to begin with. So much has been hidden in vaults and secret libraries. We have been conditioned to not even search the knowledge available and do not take the time to do so. Life seems to get in the way too often

I thank you @Troy for your research and enlightenment
