I am new to the craft. I have always been drawn to everything witchy but was never able to explore my interest until recently when I walked away from the faith I was raised in. I am from Utah and am here to learn as much as I can.
Hi @dusty! I’m Amethyst from Southern West Virginia. Welcome to the forum!
It’s difficult walking away from what you knew growing up so kudos to you! Have you found the Courses here yet? They’re a great way to start you on your journey.
If you have any questions just ask and someone will pop up and help you. I look forward to getting to know you!
Welcome @dusty you are on the right place to learn and to learn more about who you are
I’m Ashley, an eclectic witch from Wisconsin. I was drawn to this path long before I really understood it and didn’t start truly exploring it until last year. Luckily, you’ve come to a great place to learn more - the website has a ton of information with the courses and spells, but the forum is filled with amazing people to learn from!
I look forward to getting to know you more in the forums!
Welcome and Merry Meet! I’m glad you found your way to Spells8. My name is Alyssa, and I’m an eclectic witch from Wisconsin. There’s a lot to be learned here at Spells8. I hope you find everything you need and more. Feel free to reach out to the group when needed. Blessed Be
Hello @dusty I lived half of my life in Arizona, I am in the same boat where I didn’t fully start exploring my path until I left my birth religion, Mormonism. It can be very freeing when you officially cut cords and give yourself permission to move forward!
It’s really fun here, lots of activities and chit chat on the forums, and lots of lessons and printables on the main site. I’m sure you’ll enjoy looking through everything!
Merry meet fellow Utah person! Welcome to the coolest forum on the web I hope you feel at home here. Everyone is very nice and helpful. There is so much good information here.
Welcome to the forum @dusty! I’m Siofra_Strega, a moderator here at Spells8! A lot of us have had a similar experience with being raised with one faith, then moving away to paganism because of being drawn to it or other reasons. As long as it is what is right for you, then you can’t go wrong!
I am from Cape Cod & I walked away from Catholicism when I was around 16… it was right after I had been ‘confirmed’ in the church. I started to learn & practice witchcraft, but then life happened & it got put aside. So about 2 1/2 years ago, I found myself here at Spells8 & have loved learning something every day!
Feel free to ask any questions, jump in on any open topic, or start your own! We all are very friendly & helpful & also love to learn new things. Also, I agree with @Amethyst & starting the courses. Even if it is information you may already know, they are good refreshers or just learning different things & deciding if it is something that you would like to work with in your practice.
I look forward to getting to know you!

That’s great! Have fun playing with the printables! LOL!
We have an auto ink delivery service for our printer with several pages per month packages increasing in price. We now have a 100 pages a month plan and I have gone over more than once. some are adding to my homeschool lessons but most are usually from the lessons or posts here and the inspiration I get from them
And @dusty get your printer ready! If you don’t have one I have a feeling that you will at your soonest opportunity
Welcome @dusty welcome! There is so much to learn here. I hope you have fun exploring. There are so many knowledgeable and helpful witches on here who are willing to answer questions. Enjoy your exploration!
