Greetings and salutations, I am Malchior from Pennsylvania and it is my pleasure to meet you all. A little bit about myself. I have always had some connection to Nature and the Spiritual ever since I was a child. I have see entities (both of good and of malevolent in nature), I saw the spirit of my late Grandmother the night that she passed away, and that’s just the tip of the occurrences that I’ve experienced throughout my life thus far. Although my family was raised first Catholic then of Christian religion, I myself have always felt different and couldn’t find the freedom until I was finally on my own back in 1997 when it was then that I performed my Self Initiation rutual into Wicca.
Since, I have been forced to walk this path as a Solitary Witch as there are no known covens near me and I’ve not crossed paths with any fellow practitioners of The Craft. I had a true familiar named Salem (a tuxedo cat who adopted me), but he’s since passed and I still can’t bring myself to find another that will adopt me as a guardian. He was truly special.
I’ve searched the Internet for a place to find both knowledge and friendship but it’s been a difficult and costly road. I found myself here on Spells8 after viewing many Youtube videos on circle casting and came across the one by Spells8 which I found to be very good for me. It caused me to find out more about what Spells8 had to offer and after reading some of the content and reviews, I finally decided to join and now I am hopeful that my search for a place to learn, grow as a Wiccan, and made a few friends along the way is finally concluded.

I also am ok with being a Solitary Witch. Only my younger sister (who is a practicing Shaman), knows of my lifestyle. And you are right, it is much easier practicing by one’s own self.
I feel deep within me that I’ll be happy here and I’ve read so many positive reviews that I am hopeful.

I’m Kat and am currently located in North Carolina. I found the practice over 20 years ago but lost my way for a while. I found my way home a couple of years ago and shortly thereafter found this amazing group of people!! I am a fairly eclectic Green witch with a deep interest in tarot, runes, herbalism, and moon magic. My deities are Artemis (she’s been with me since the beginning) and Hekate, a recent guide in my life.
So sorry about the loss of Salem. I know how difficult the grieving process can be as I lost my Donut in March 2023 and not a day goes by that I don’t think of or miss him.

Greetings Artemisia and thank you for the warm welcome. It is also a pleasure to meet you and I do hope th find more wonderful individuals such as yourself here. Salem was special, when I went to the animal shelter and saw him, he came up to the front of his cage and was bumping his head againest the door as if trying to get out. When the staff member opened his cage, he literally walked across her arm and behind her to get to me. I knew then that he had choosen me. He spent the first three days behind my stero system but after that, he made himself at home. I remember how he would find me in my meditation room and he’d sit there until I was finished. He’d look in on me at night before going to bed himself. He was more then just a familiar, he was my friend. He went to the Summerlands in late 2004. I worked overnight and never got the change to say goodbye.
I broke up with the person I was seeing shortly thereafter (for other reasons) and moved to a new apartment in 2005 with just my belongings. I remember one day sitting on the living room floor and I hear a noise behind me, when I turned around there were paw prints on the carpet. I’d not had another occurrence since but I would like to think that he’s still here with me.
I truly am grateful for all of the warm greetings that I’ve been receiving since my initial posting and I look forward to getting to know everyone who I am fortunate to meet here. Thank you again and I’ll see you around the scared circle
