Good morning
and welcome to the forum
I’m Susurrus, another moderator here at Spells8. It’s nice to meet you!
I am returning after being away from the forum off and on then more regularly due to Life going off the rails,** for about 2 years. I’m circling back now, though, to some kind of balance anyway
Chaos, liminal, the Shadow… We’ve become great friends.
I can’t say that I can’t label my practice, as it has evolved quite a bit since I came back to it in 2020. When I was younger, I practiced, too. I’m literally in a complete overhaul phase of restarting.
I am a learner, though. At times, I will find myself in more rabbit holes and deep dives than I know what to do with. Most of my practice is with the Irish pantheon I suppose it’s also Celtic. Sometimes it’s easier to say Celtic but it leans heavily Irish.
I have a whole playlist labeled Ma Only because I am pretty much the only person in the house who listens to that type of music. I haven’t been to a show since 2019; the last show I believe I saw was either Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie or Korn and… I honestly can’t remember the other bands that played with them. I think I was goth before it was goth and way before emo was a thing, now that I think about it.
Horror, thriller, and those types of books, movies, and the like are something we do at our house. We will have marathons of them
I can’t even list the many movies and series we have watched lately.
I do love
to learn about different things. I was brought up Catholic, but it didn’t sit with me. I don’t believe in what they would call Heaven or Hell nor God, Devil, Demons, and such in their context.
I’m also not light or dark. I suppose I’m somewhere in the middle. Gray? I have been doing a lot of work on the self and shadow. And I have been through the wringer more than once with my deities, especially in the last year. They sort of tag-teamed me for a little while there, which was definitely not a good time but a wonderful experience once I made it to the other side.
