Ok so firstly, please excuse the excited rambling. Second, I want to preface this by saying I was raised in a Christian household and didn’t realize what was happening. I very recently started on my path and was wondering when or if I would find who I clicked with. Then all the sudden realization smacked me over the head. I’ve been getting signs for as long as I can remember. I ran and played with the wind as a child. I was always finding old skeleton keys in the weirdest places. I probably found at least thirty of them. I’ve always been fascinated by shadows and Greek mythology. Saw shadow figures a lot. Snakes strongly feature in my dreams. I remember once as a kid freaking out because I had a nightlight and there was a big shadow of a dog on my wall that had no source. Have a knife collection. Very drawn to magic. When I was around 15, I had a very vivid dream that I went and got a triquetra tattoo on my foot. At 20 I got exactly that, same placement and everything, for my first tattoo. So I got to researching and guess who that all lines up with. Hekate! Looking back now at all these signs being tossed at a clueless child is hilarious.

Since I´m getting most of my books from one of Viennas libraries, I don´t own a lot books. One book I bought and really appreciate is
“Temple of the Bones” by Jennifer Teixeira
My personal experience with Hekate is that she is making herself known very clearly and that she is very responsive to her devotees. Simply sitting in meditation and chanting her name can help you connect with her. Her time is the dark moon of the month, you can arrange an offering of garlic, egg, honey or simply share some of your food with her. You can do this at a crossroad, but you can also create an altar for her (I´m living in a bustling city, I´d be losing my life standing at a crossroad. lol)
I have a notebook, dedicated just to working with her and channeling her messages, which works very well through oracle or tarot cards, pendulum or just automatic writing.
As an art witch I also connect through art-making, altar craft and works in my Book of Shadows.
