I love putting shimmer in my oils too! Yours look fabulous!!! Like really unique and beautiful :heart_eyes: I love how they turned out! I have to get some and see just how good they smell :relaxed:

A bit of history:

If it didn’t kill us it made us stronger

  • I have a few old books from the “Foxfire series” & was looking through them for folk medicine.
    How they survived is a mystery to me. - literally.**
  • These cures didn’t work - believe me!
  • Tie a roasted onion around your neck for chest cold? Yuck!
  • Put a teaspoon of sugar in kerosene paint throat - cough. - ewww
  • Apply hot compresses to burns – ouch
  • Expose your children to the victims of chicken pox or measles. No! No!
    No!
  • Apply turpentine to hair for lice…geez! Daddy don’t light your cigarette!
  • Diphtheria – throat was painted with kerosene. NO! Poison
  • Rattlesnakes cures rheumatism -see above
  • Corpses cure boils! I won’t even address this
  • Earwax cures cold sores!
  • Burning a witch chases the devil out of her.
  • And people really believed it!
  • Things that did work and still do.
  • Burns from heat and sunburns. Make up strong tea, cool &apply with
  • light cloths to cool & sooth burns. I still use this.
  • Sores/rash from chicken pox or measles – oatmeal baths,
  • baking soda baths and or vinegar baths reduces itching
  • Garlic and olive oil for athletes foot
  • Hang over? 1 Tsp. Apple cider vinegar. Corrects PH of gut.
  • Potato slices for Headache? Slice potato, soak in wet cloth
  • Apply to eyes and temples. I Haven’t tried this
  • Bug bites, apply toothpaste.

Those who want to live off grid think about it again.

What beautiful colours, and sparkly!

I haven’t made any yet, that’s next on my to do list after sorting my herbs. But I do have a lovely body oil by Soap & Glory that’s gold with sparkles in it. Makes my skin sparkle which makes me smile :sparkles:

This is next on my to do list after I’ve sorted out herbs.
