I'm a witch!

Hello all,

I’m Ana Riel Lineata and I hail from Carson City, Nevada. I am an artist who specializes in native-inspired, peyote-stitch beadwork. I am a descendant of the Washoe Tribe of Northern Nevada. Not a card-carrying member but I have been trying to reconnect with my tribe. They take good care of me.

As far as being a witch, I didn’t see it in myself initially, but the more I learned about it the more I was like, “Oh. Is me.” I even took the Wiccan initiation quiz here out of curiosity. Did so well I immediately tried the Wiccan quiz for after the lessons. Didn’t know I knew so much about Wiccan. Neat.

I now know that there are so many kinds of witches with various magic styles/types and from all types of backgrounds. I’m so excited to explore this aspect of myself.

I’ve been doing some research and I found some adjectives that help explain/describe my…witch type? (I don’t know what this descriptor is called). I am an animist, augury, chaos, music, shamanic, sigil, and solitary (tho I’m not opposed to changing that one) witch. That’s me

It is a pleasure to meet you all. I look forward to being a part of something bigger than what I got going on.

Much love and light,
Ana Riel Lineata

Merry meet @AnaRiel !

I’m Kat and I found the practice over 30 years ago but lost my way for a while. I came home a few years ago and found this amazing group of people!! I practice eclectic green magick and am interested in tarot, runes, ogham, herbalism, and moon magic. I work with Artemis (she’s been with me since the beginning), Selene and Hekate.

Eclectic sounds like a description that might also apply!

eclectic /ĭ-klĕk′tĭk/

adjective

  1. Selecting or employing individual elements from a variety of sources, systems, or styles.

“an eclectic taste in music; an eclectic approach to managing the economy.”

  1. Made up of or combining elements from a variety of sources.
  2. Selecting; choosing (what is true or excellent in doctrines, opinions, etc.) from various sources or systems.

“an eclectic philosopher”

We’re glad to have you here. :purple_heart: Make yourself comfortable, explore, and feel free to ask questions!:herb: :bow_and_arrow: :acorn: :crescent_moon: :hekate_wheel:

They are lovely, I haven’t done peyote stitch in forever!!! Way back when I lived in New Mexico, the SO and I were hiking and I picked up what we deemed to be the Perfect Stick - which was then named Spooky Stick. I planned to peyote stitch a portion of it in native designs but it is still waiting in a box, 25+ years later… Your work is inspiring!!

Oh my goodness, thank you for your kind words! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

After years of not being able to give them up, I am finally in a place where I am okay with parting. I’m currently putting together an online presence to sell my pieces. I even got my first commission

Also, I completely agree and am very happy with being an “eclectic” witch. I picked parts of various belief systems that resonate with me.

You all inspire me. I am researching and learning all things witchy now. I am also creating my grimoire :open_book::black_heart:

Thank you :two_hearts: :love_you_gesture:
