Introduction Hello

My name is April, but I prefer to be called CrimsonRaven. I’m new to this coven (obviously….said in Snape’s sarcastic tone) I have been a solitary witch for a very long time now. However, I hung up my hat and broom for a while because of becoming a mom to twins, and because of my own personal demons (sometimes literally) related to mental health and self-esteem. And as such I lost almost everything when I lost my home. I’m looking forward to get back into the swing of things and learn more of everything and get back down to my roots. hank you for letting me join this ccven

Terrific Tuesday Crimson,

I understand where you’re coming from. Kids side-tracked my path also. Now that I am 61, when my daughter died in 2024, it really woke me up to MY life. That is when I returned to the craft. Returned? Yes, I was a practicing/baby witch as a child, and life/reality/adulthood/kids kicked in. I was too busy providing that my practice was pushed on the way-side.
I see you have been going through many problems….I feel ya.

But, as Melora said, this is your extended “family here”.

Well, like on Sister Act, “hey there and hello” (maybe I got it a little wrong, but the sentiment is the same). You have come to the right place!!

Spells8 soothes the soul. Lady Gene :phoenix: :wand_tarot:

Welcome to the coven @april2 we’re glad you have joined us. I’m Jayne, an eclectic witch, originally from the UK, but now live in Texas. My witch name, Greenbriar, was chosen because I feel it closely aligns with my practice, which leans toward earth and nature magic.

And I must say, I had to chuckle at your intro “in Snape’s sarcastic tone” - I can absolutely hear that!! LOL

Feel free to jump into any conversation that interests you, and if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Hello @april2 and merry meet!
I can totally relate to being kept so busy that there seems literally no time to practice. But then, in my greatest struggles (I was facing a housing crisis, when my last relationship went downhill) I intuitively touched a tree in my neighbourhood running errands, took a deep breath, and suddelnly an image a tree roots underground floodded my mind and how they have a network…and I whispered to tree to tell all other trees and the universe and every energy in this city, that I´ll need a home for myself and my daughter very soon.
Two weeks later I found a small apartment, affordable and just perfect for us.
I´m only telling this to show, that you´re always a witch, even if you don´t have an altar or special time set aside for practice.

Btw, I´m Katharina, an art-witch and art therapist from Vienna, Austria! I´m practicing magick very much through art making! I love altar craft, candle making, poppet work, spell boxes, jars and all kinds of creative magic shenanignas. Working in my Book of Shadows is a big part of my pratice. I love all things tarot and practice this art since many moons.
The forum is huge and it takes time to get to know everything. The people here are very sweet and helpful, so just make yourself known if there´s any questions, someone will certainly show up to help you.

Brightest blessings! :dizzy:

Merry Meet, CrimsonRaven. :black_heart::crescent_moon:

First, welcome back to the broom and hat life. They tend to wait patiently for us until we’re ready again. Being a twin mom and navigating mental health storms is no small quest, so the fact that you’re finding your way back to your roots is powerful magic in itself.

I’m Stephanie or Eira of the Living Hearth, an eclectic witch from California. My practice is very hearth-centered: green witchery, divination (tarot, runes, oracle, Lenormand), shadow work, self-care, and all the cozy spell craft like herbs, cooking, candles, and creating sacred space.

You’re among witches who understand detours, losses, and comebacks. Take it slow, follow what calls you, and let the swing of things return naturally.

Glad you’re here.
Blessed Be. :herb: :dizzy:

Merry Meet CrimsonRaven

I just wanted to welcome you. With everything you have been through shows that you have strength within, resilience to overcome any problems that arise. Everyone is very supportive, caring and helpful with anything you need it is a wonderful coven to be a part of.

I am from a small village in Lancashire, England.

I am a Solitary Eclectic Witch and my divinations are crystals, tarot, runes, angel numbers, lenormand, candle magic, tending outdoor, indoor plants and growing herbs, spell jars, spell bags, sun & moon water, water meditation and home cleansing. I am doing the daily Oracle Cards which is my new go to.

I try to simplify, balance and live intentionally to create a calm, peaceful, relaxing home for my family and animals.

Wishing you blessings :heart:

Sunny Saturday Tracy :grinning_face::sun::seedling::hibiscus:

We have to make the most of it as it will be turning colder after today.

I am interested what is Seidr as I have not come across it.

Good blessings for you on your training for the divination of the runes. I think that they are wonderful to add to other divinations you are drawn to. I only have a digital deck on Labyrinthos APP not got round to buying a proper set yet still learning a bit myself.

Everyone in the coven are lovely, helpful and supportive I am so glad I am here.

Have a blessed day :heart:

Yes, typical British weather, gets us excited then blasts us with a quick freeze :laughing:

Seidr is a Nordic practice that is shamanic in nature, seer and involves using the runes to understand visions from land spirits and the gods, an additional practice to the normal witchcraft (referred to as Trolldom). It’s not something I aimed for when I started training the runes, just thought hey let’s get the divination a bit better, but no, the gods had other ideas so I’m learning more than I intended lol :joy:
