I have to be in the right frame of mind … or maybe the right temperament to listen to the frequency sounds on their own, so I prefer to have them incorporated into music. I get images in my mind that I don’t get with other types of music.
Yes, I love native American flute music.
and defiantly meditation in itself!
Super Saturday Stephen,
Actually, I am a minimalist. I have 2 wrist band jingle bells with velcro. You can wear them on your wrist or ankles. I use these around the house. I try to keep everything, simple, portable, and hopefully has more than one use.![]()

If it pertains to the purpose? Then yeah.
How cool! I would never have thought to use a wristband with jingle bells on it. Trial and error … and success – that seems to be my mantra much of the time. Thanks for sharing with me.
Great reminder to me. That is probably the overriding thing I need to keep in mind: if it serves your purpose and helps you achieve your goals, then it is the right thing to do. Thanks!
It is … and it has that rhythm that speaks to me somehow. But I find myself listening to the female voices for a while, then, I switch to a male voice, and then back again. The male voices are often deep, resonant baritones, and it seems to feel a little more … earthy to me, while the female voices are more in line with the other elements: air, fire, water.
If the higher-pitched tones used in much 432Hz music don’t sit well with you, try looking at something like Celestial Calm’s 432Hz Healing Sleep Music. It utilizes a lower range of tones that sit better with many … myself included. This doesn’t take my thoughts away from my work at the altar when I have it playing in the background and my starry sky light shining on the ceiling and walls.

I also like Tibetan singing bowls. ![]()
Yeah, I like it better with music. Just the tones or beats get annoying to me. Maybe it’s just a me thing, but it goes up and down my spine.
That one’s lovely! Thank you for sharing it. I don’t think I could sleep to it, but having it on during the day wouldn’t be bad!
@moonstruck, do you use the bowls yourself, or do you like to listen to recordings while you work? I have one, but I haven’t found exactly where it might work into my craft. If you would like to share a bit more sometime, I would love to hear.
@dan3 – that is so interesting. I don’t know a lot about the chaos path. I only have known one man who classifies himself a chaos witch (besides you, of course). He is very eclectic, and the last couple years he has been involved in going to workshops or camps to participate in sweat lodge rituals. He is always seeking to reach an altered state of mind through meditation and exhaustion, where he says he feels he is communicating with the universe on a higher plane of thought. He is one of the most down-to-earth guys I know. Now you’ve prompted me to do research to learn more. I would be interested in hearing if you ever feel up to sharing, sometime, how different practices come together in your mix.
The Chaos toolbox is quite large. It is unusual to find two Chaotes at the same place in their paths. None of the ones I know are doing what I’m doing… though we all consider ourselves on the Chaos path. My thing, right now, is investigating belief systems. Immersing myself and truly understanding a religion or belief.
If you want a more in-depth look at Chaos that explains it better, I recommend reading “The Master Works of Chaos Magick” by Blackthorne". It is the most readable book on it that I’ve found.
Over the years, Chaos has evolved/morphed. Early practitioners were notable for their almost bizarre practices. That has moved to a more accepting and eclectic approach.
An interesting thread about Chaos is here on Spells8.
Wow … more aspects that can go into it than I knew. Thanks for the info.
Is this Blackthorne the one I’ve read regarding plants, herbalism, and essential oils?
Thanks! It is definitely a different spin on eclecticism in witchcraft. You’ll have to update us now and again as you find your truths in your study and growth.
Maybe. He and 3 or 4 other authors make up “The Gallery of Magick” group and they have several titles. They have a Facebook page but it is only used for announcements.
Chaos is quite large but it is also quite open. Many borrow from the Chaos toolbox and include it in their own paths and it ends up being adopted. It lends itself well to that.
Interesting you ask that I just brought a singing bowl of Amazon and I do like to listen to recordings as well.
ooo I love singing bowls also. This channel has some great videos. They’re crystal bowls however

I had a look at the YouTube video it is amazing the first one with the kitty Kat sleeping is adorable, thanks for sharing now I have to learn how to use my new singing bowl that I brought.
That’s pretty! I wish you good luck with it!
I’ve watched too many cartoons. I keep on waiting for the bowl to grow a face and start singing Ride of the Valkyries or something. LOL!
