Hello @isabel & welcome aboard.
Thank you and Hello @ Amethyst!
My path has taken me on the pantheon of the Yorube religion. One that as a child of Cuban parents, was very prevalent in my family. However, when my grandmother decided to transform the family and lean on the ‘reformed Christian’ beliefs and put behind the teachings of old; there was a big struggle between both in my family… to the point of my being taught that what I felt/knew/understood (in the most organic of ways) was “evil”.
Well you can imagine… many years I spent afraid, inquisitive, but unwilling to budge because of the fear.
I always felt the magick and would somehow fall into ‘ways’ that although foreign seemed very familiar to me. Covid gave me the moment in time to face all of these falsehoods and showed me how to trust myself and the magick in all things and that there was no need to be ‘afraid’.
I’m much into divination and practicing the rituals taught by my ancestors.
I have been lead to learning about runes and even crafted my own to help me further opening up in all of this.
I look forward to getting to know all better and learning more as we all journey together.
Thank you @BryWisteria
My hope is to be open and learn, explore and get to know all in the coven community. Much appreciate you shedding some light on what and where to go through the dashboard.
Looking forward to sharing much here.
Thank you @marsha, its so wonderful to find like minded individuals that know who and what they are. I’ve always been called ‘eclectic’ and to now be able to define myself as the same as you… an eclectic solitary witch… is absolutely liberating.
Looking forward to getting to know you and all here better.
Hello @isabel and welcome!! I live in CT and moved about 6 years ago from South Florida where I lived for over 30 years! I’m happy to meet you! What would you like to see most here or what are you interested in doing/learning first? I look forward to getting to know you!
Welcome @isabel! I am a recent arrival here and an eclectic Wiccan. I am sure you will find this as an exceptionally welcoming and deep place to learn as I have. My path has certainly deepened in the time I’ve been here. I look forward to learning from you.
I’m glad you found your way, especially if you were scared straight at first. It must be interesting to look into your ancestral pantheon. It sounds interesting! I didn’t know that Cuba followed that religion behind the scenes.
Did you find the lesson on Runes? There are some great resources put together there by @Susurrus.
I look forward to getting a chance to chat with you too! It’s nice to meet you!
It’s my pleasure, @isabel- I’m happy if the information was helpful for you!
Please make yourself at home here and don’t hesitate to reach out!
Many blessings to you
Good Morning @ben1
thank you so much! In the short time I’ve been interacting with the coven - all have been so welcoming; allowing to be even more open to all that possible here. Thank you and I look forward to learning as well.
Thank you Amethyst… yes, I am glad too. Thank you for the runes info… I’ll definitely look for it.
Enjoy the rest of your week
Good morning @jan_TheGreenWitch and thank you! Love the synchronicity of it all; at the moment, I am gathering tools, cleansing and dedicating my altar(s), reviewing all the information I can - I’m already at the 2nd course for ‘us newbies’ lol! Ultimately my aim is to have my craft and daily life have that wonderful balance that will allow for the flow of life/world/universe. This would not only help me and my loved ones but all those universe will lead me to. How that will all be; Goddess and Lord will provide.
How did you find your path Jan?
Looking forward to getting to know you as well.
Have a blessed day.
Thank you @Phoenix_Rose … many blessings
@isabel Hi there! I found my path by studying comparative religion for many years starting with Christianity, then branching out to other world religions, faiths, practices and then different times with myths — as I travelled I learned more and more about how as different as we all are, we are intrinsically the same with many if not all of the same mythology and traditions spanning each time, religion and region.
I believe in a universal ‘source’ which we are all ultimately a part of and my pagan path has been one of honoring the land, resources and plants and animals.
I honor all faiths, beliefs and ways of worship and do not believe that any one way works for all but that everyone’s path to their own truth is one which they must seek for themselves and determine in their own time what they believe and decide to use in their day to day life.
That’s a quick summary !!! I hope you are enjoying it here in the forum and look forward to hearing more from you! Light and love, Jan
