Aaahhh!!! Love 
it @Mistress_Of_Herbs. Our house isn’t even close to anything. I don’t necessarily celebrate in a Christmas sense & we don’t decorate like we used to. It was always a time for our family all being together. My kids loved the decorating & the dogs.
I’m really missing that this year.
It hadn’t really bothered me the past few years. But this year is different for me I guess.

just started decorating today. I can only do so much at one time before I get tired. My tree is always last, but it’s my favorite!

I don’t have a tree this year because we’re getting packed up to move. Over the years, I have had varying degrees of luck with trees - I’m allergic to something that’s put on the commercial ones, so we always had an artificial tree when I was growing up. When we moved to Oregon several years ago, we were able to cut down our own tree. That’s the only time I never had an allergic reaction with a real tree!
I don’t know if we’ll have time to get a tree after we move. Honestly, it’s not going to be a big priority because we won’t have much furniture and there will be other things we have to buy, first. I think we’re going to start some new traditions, too I can’t wait!
Well, I was gonna show you a picture of my tree from last year, but I don’t have any pictures where my kid isn’t standing in the way! 
So, here’s one from 2016 lol my kiddo’s first bike!

@lyns that is a very pretty tree! The gifts look so great under it too! I just started shopping for gifts & am stumped
@MeganB it’s been a whole lot of years since we had a real tree I actually think it wasn’t even my home where we had it. I believe it was my birth mother’s house where we ever had one.
We have had an artificial one since I had my own family. I’ll have to see if I can find an old picture of when we had it up.

I’m thinking that I’ll probably just decorate a tree outside every year, or create a cute fabric one… OR!! Ohh I could do something like Shelbizlee on her channel. Let me see if I can find a picture. She’s all about sustainability and eco-friendly practices.

I haven’t decided yet. I like the idea of having one in a pot and bringing it inside every year lol we could grow our own and it would be a super cool family tradition!! I’m sure it would survive as long as I took care of it, and it wouldn’t get super big, I don’t think… I’ll have to research that, because I really, really like that idea!

Yeah I’d like to put a tree up but my black cat would eat it real or fake. I don’t feel like fighting him over it. Ps I love all of the pictures, all the trees look magnificent everyone

I have a friend who has a tree in her house & she decorates it every month! I always thought that was a neat idea, too. Where your family is going, it wouldn’t be hard to have one outdoors year round. It would survive whether it was planted in the yard or with the ability to be brought inside. I think you would have to look at the type of tree & care if you chose to have it potted so you can bring it inside for that area.
My allergies would go nuts if we had a real tree & since my pibble lays under it the entire time that it’s up, he’d probably drink the water so he didn’t have to get up & go to his actual water bowl

Hubby bought me 2 trees yesterday. One is only 8 inches high. It’s perfect for my altar. The other one is a little bigger, so I could decorate it. He even got me some deer antler decorations.

I love seeing everyones trees. Its great to see how everyone decorates them in their own way. I got cuttings of conifer, pine and holly today so tommorows job is my garald, wreath and yule log. Ill post when they are done

This brings me such joy to see everyone’s trees! My mom absolutely loved Christmas and really went all out! Since she’s gone I have manyof her decorations and I think of her. I’m going to decorate my tree tomorrow. I’m excited

Productive day today. Indoor and outdoor garlands made, door wreath, yule log from last year’s tree and some pomander balls.

We said yesterday that this weekend we need to start some kind of decorating. This is actually late, we usually do it the 1st weekend in December. The last couple not as completely as in prior years.
I did find an old 1 I had taken when my daughter was a few years younger. I believe it was the year we also put Santa’s Footsteps from the door to the tree She had asked if Santa 
used the Magic Key 
to get in the house.
If we make it to this year’s soon, I’ll upload it

It was thanks to this thread and everyone else’s beautiful decorations that I was able to get mine up. The Sandia Mountains looked like a bundt cake with powdered sugar on top over the weekend, but there’s been nothing white, here. It melted off even the mountains by this morning. With a north facing window, I could sure use some of @MeganB 's Sunshine Potion! I haven’t bought oranges yet, so I’ll have to make do with essential oils.
