Magick Gardens 2024

Tip when picking make sure u pick the whole tomato with the stem as pictured so the plant can easily grow more. Also picking the fruit or veggies encourages the plant to produce more. Always pick a few earlier to promote growth

Yup, I always pick with the stem. This plant I have now that made tomatoes the stem actually falls right off with them when I go to pick them.

That nice I have to make sure to grab both together or else the stem gets left and I have to pick it off the plant

Beautiful! It has been so dry and hot lately my herbs are barely surviving.

My herbs did so well this year. In fact 99% of my plantings were fantastic. I can’t attribute it to the gardener. It had to have been one of those amazing years that you get once in a while. Anyhow, I decided to try something I’ve never done before:

I’ve got mint, rosemary, lemon thyme, sage and lavender leaves bundled in there. The smell is amazing. Now to impatiently await the drying process.

Your herbal bundles are beautiful! I hope they dry quicker than expected and that they serve you well. Happy smoke cleansing! :herb: :sparkles:

I got impatient and put them in the dehydrator

All the food you have grown in your garden looks amazing! I want to do that next year! Tell me, @Satans_Helper, how did you learn to grow such delicious-looking food?

With love :hearts: and hugs :hugs: always,

Awww that’s really nice of you to say. Thankyou :cupid::cupid: trial and error was a big part of the beginning of learning five years ago. Even this year there are things I have learned and what I would have done differently. There are many things I should have done differently this year. But it is all part of the learning process. Also a big key to the success of a garden comes in doing research. If there is a plant I plan to plant I research it. Knowing how much water things need. What soil works for most but others may need sand mix or something else. Also gotta think about how much room they will have, how tall the plant next to it is so it doesn’t block the next plants sun… My sweet potatoe plant in the ground gave more potatoes than the cloth 3 gallon bagged ones I did. This year didn’t turn out as well as it could have. But I kinda quit at the end. School and my relationship ending I didn’t have time towards the end. But yeah I say always research watch videos of other successful gardeners. Fresh soil twice a year if potted. I’m still learning. It’s lifelong I think.

I water after the sun starts to go down too and avoid getting leaves on anything wet to avoid burning

Long story short, I have a live Yule tree that I’m going to decorate for each Sabbath. My plants love the grow lights!

I like how soft it looks

It is soft. It came with the silver balls and I’m looking forward to decorating it for Yule. It’s a Norfolk Island Pine and they are supposed to do good indoors, so we will see. I’m pretty sure it would die if I planted it outdoors. Our weather goes from one extreme to the other and I don’t think the tree would like it.

Such a beautiful tree!

Thank you. It’s kind of lopsided, but that adds to its character!
