That’s a good idea. 
. I also put a small plate of cooked meat, and a little bowl of red wine on the far side of the garden, it keeps the wasps off my apple trees for a little bit, but not forever, unless of course I keep the “wasp restaurant” open 24/7

Grandson added some glam to my fairy garden. He put some gems about 4 feet up the trees. He was so excited the next day when we went out and the ones in the trees were gone! We was so happy the Fae liked his gifts!

Hard to see but we planted one whole bed of asparagus it will be another year before it is eatable. Just snapped a picture of a few
Lettuce and celery. I already harvested some lettuce the other day. It’s really good. Growing like crazy. To pick lettuce and allow the plant to keep providing. Only take off the outside leaves. Leave the center so it can grow much more.
Broccoli and radish.
Strawberry and cucumber.
One of like six tomatoe plants. When they get bigger I’ll end up giving a few tomato plants away. I always plant a few extra seeds because they don’t always grow.
I didn’t take pics of a few other things. I got beans starting to grow, peas, watermelon. I plan on starting another starter tray this week. Since some didn’t take. Which happens. I find that a lot of times if I grow from seeds and I don’t start them in the starter tray they may not start at all. Don’t know why really. But yep
Can’t wait till it all takes off when it does it’s like wildfire. Gonna get some more strawberry bushes too. Found out since we got the fence. It keeps the squirrels out. But now I have chipmunks digging. They aren’t as bad. Yet. But I think I’ll just look up what they do eat and see if I feed them if they will leave my stuff alone. I wonder if cayenne keeps chipmunks out too. I imagine it would
