What was most annoying was that I got all dressed and ready to go for nothing! I’m just glad I looked at my phone before toddling down the hall. That walk would have been for nothing.

Here’s how we left the stairwell before we hired the painters. You can see very well where our light-colored new paint stops at the top of the stairs.
The stairwell is the only place left with this dull, battleship gray - can’t tell you how dark and depressing the whole upstairs was before we got started last fall.
And - this is how I am living at the moment! It looks like a construction site. They stacked the couches, draped every wall and taped construction paper on the floor.
It has to get worse before it can get better! I have a coworker who had to get her bathroom redone because the shower leaked and rotted out the floor. She lives in an old house like I do and it only has one bathroom. She had to move in with her niece for a week. You have to be able to use the bathroom, right? I can’t imagine not having a bathroom for a week!
Oh how perfect, I have just the idea for tomorrow!

Well, it’s been a day, to say the least I can’t even begin to tell you the craziness and the absolutely lucky circumstances that even allowed us to figure it out and remedy it so I won’t try. SMH I just can’t even - here’s some kittens from this morning instead.
Same, same! We´ve got a load of snow over night here in Vienna and no sunlight whatsoever. Even the news are all about it: “Vienna is experiencing its gloomiest winter in 30 years” “The longest series of foggy days in 30 years”
As a matter of fact, we didn´t have a single hour of sunlight in february yet.
It certainly won´t hurt!!

Nothing more powerful than a mom fighting for her childs life. I´m glad everything went well and amazing how he went from this traumtic experience to jumping into pools!!
